Francis Sylvester Price (1919 ~ 1992)
10.2.1.1. First child of William T. Price and Alma Johnson, Francis Sylvester Price, was born November 6, 1919, in Aberdeen, Brown Co., South Dakota.
He married Verna Wolfer, daughter of Karl Wolfer and Christina Weber, on May 5, 1941, in Webster, Day Co., South Dakota.
Francis S. Price died July 6, 1992, aged 73 years and Verna Wolfer Price died September 14, 2004, aged 91 years in Aberdeen, South Dakota and are interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Francis S. Price
The funeral for Francis Price, 73, of 115 Sixth Ave. S.E., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gates Funeral Home, 320 Sixth Ave. S.E. The Rev. Harold Salem of First Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He died Monday, July 6, 1992, at St. Luke’s Midland Regional Medical Center, in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Francis Price was born November 6, 1919, in Aberdeen, to William and Alma (Elsner) Price. He graduated from Aberdeen Central High School. He lived all his life in Aberdeen except when he served in World War II in Washington state in a defense infantry.
On May 5, 1941, he married Verna Wolfer in Webster, South Dakota. After the war they returned to Aberdeen. He owned and operated motels and gas service stations until retiring in 1972.
Survivors include his wife of Aberdeen; and one sister, Veddice Thomas of Tacoma, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Verna Wolfer Price
May 5, 1913 ~ September 14, 2004
Verna Price, 91, of Aberdeen died Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2004, at Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen, with Dr. Harold E. Salem officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Verna Wolfer was born May 5, 1913, at Mound City, S.D., to Karl Wolfer and Christina Weber. She attended rural school near Mound City and graduated from Mound City High School. She then attended Northern Normal College at Aberdeen, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught school at Mound City for a couple of years. Verna married Francis Price on May 5, 1941, at Webster, S.D. After their marriage, they moved to Tacoma, Wash., where they both worked at the Boeing shipyards during World War II. After the war, they returned to South Dakota and moved to Aberdeen where they owned and operated the Price Motel, currently named the Innkeeper Motel, until their retirement. Francis died on July 6, 1992, and Verna continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death. Verna was a member of First Baptist Church in Aberdeen. Survivors include four sisters, Frieda Toolin of Colorado, Lillian Erichsen of Billings, Mont., Agnes Mack of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Lorene Nordmark of Brainard, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and six sisters. Aberdeen News, Sept. 19, 2004.
