10.2.2. Second child of Eliza A. Adams and Francis C. Price, Maria Jane Price, was born February 1, 1886, in Spring Lake Twp., Scott Co., Minnesota, U.S.

She married Claudius 'Franklyn' McKinney, son of Andrew McKinney and Ella Elliott, April 20, 1907, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and had four children:

Maria J. Price McKinney died October 23, 1918, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, aged 32 years, and C. Franklyn McKinney died February 26, 1947, aged 67 years, in Long Beach, California.

Maria J. Price McKinney

Mrs. Maria McKinney died at a local hospital yesterday morning, October 23, 1918 of pneumonia. Mrs. McKinney leaves four children, the oldest only ten and the baby about three months. The funeral services will be held at the Moore undertaking parlors at 5 o’clock this afternoon. Mrs. McKinney was only 31 years old. Besides her husband she leaves a mother, seven brothers and three sisters who reside at Langford, South Dakota. Aberdeen Daily News, Oct. 25, 1918.

C. Franklyn McKinney

February 21, 1880 ~ February 26, 1947

Claudius Franklyn McKinney, 67, of 820 East 15th street, died yesterday, February 26, 1947, at his home. He was born in Parma, N.Y., and was a retired restaurant operator. He came to Riverside from New York in 1943 and moved to Long Beach in 1944.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edward Hoff, Rochester, N.Y., and Mrs. Charles Bruderlein and Mrs. Harry Bahrenburg, Long Beach; a sister, Mrs. Cora Hollenbeck, Riverside; and a brother, Adelbert McKinney, Elsinore, Calif.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Patterson & Snively mortuary. Interment will be in the Elsinore Valley cemetery, Elsinore. Long Beach Independent, Feb. 27, 1947.
