James Albert Price (1890 ~ 1946)
10.2.5. Fifth child of Eliza A. Adams and Francis C. Price, James Albert Price, was born April 1, 1890, in Langford, Marshall Co., South Dakota, U.S.
He married Pearl Smith, daughter of Emil Smith and Bella Iverson, December 16, 1941, in Taber, Alberta, and had four children:

James A. Price died July 1, 1946, age 55 years, in Vauxhull, Alberta and Pearl Smith Price died February 20, 1981, aged 75 years in Lethbridge, Alberta and are interred at Taber Memorial Garden Cemetery.

A quiet wedding was solemnized at the United church manse on Tuesday evening, December 16, 1941, when Miss Pearl Smith was united in marriage with Mr. James Albert Price. Wilbert Smith sponsored the groom, and Mrs. Collett was witness for the bride. All the parties are from Taber. Rev. W. J. Collett officiated Lethbridge Herald, Dec. 19, 1941.

James A. Price
James Albert Price, 55, passed away in his sleep at his farm home seven miles north of Vauxhall, early Monday morning, July 1, 1946.
The deceased was born in Langford, S.D., of Irish-Canadian parents, and had been a resident in Alberta for the past twenty-nine years and six months, during which time he had been farming.
His wife and the five children left are residing on the farm in Vauxhall. Three brothers, David, Charles and Robert are residing in Taber, and his sisters live in South Dakota. There are several more distant relatives living in the Taber district.
Funeral services will be held at the Taber United Church on Friday, July 5th, at 2:30 p.m. T. W. Carr, undertaker. Taber Times, July 4, 1946.
Pearl Smith Price
May 20, 1905 ~ February 20, 1981
Mrs. Pearl Price of 1524 4th Avenue North, Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. James Albert Price, passed away on Friday, February 20, 1981, at the age of 75 years.
Born in North Dakota, she came to Canada in 1909 and resided in Taber. In 1944 she moved to Vauxhull, where she farmed until 1968. She has lived in Lethbridge since 1968. She has resided until the time of her passing, Mrs. Price was a honorary member of the Ladies Auxillary.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Marlene) Klassen of Lloydminster, and Mrs. Bjarne (Shirley) Mikalson of Lethbridge; four sons Alex and Teresita Giles of Lethbridge, Harold Price of Lethbridge, Leonard and Lorna Giles of Almonte, Ontario, Raymond and Maggie Price of Fort McMurray; one sister, Mini Bragg of Lethbridge; 16 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James Albert Price; four brothers, Charlie Smith, Oscar Smith, Sam Smith and Wilburt Smith; one sister, Mrs. Art (Lyla) Stenby of Medincine Hat; and by one grandchild.
The funeral service will be held in Reardon’s Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 23 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor L. Dressler officiating. Interment will follow in the Taber Memorial Gardens. Lethbridge Herald, Feb. 21, 1981.
