10.2.6.3. Third child of Charles H. Price and Marcella Hurley, Rose Lael Price, was born February 23, 1937, at Lethbridge, Alberta.

She married Thomas Larry Coombes, son of John Leslie Coombes and Corene Mae Ewing, June 23, 1956, in Taber, Alberta and had three children:

Rose L. Price Coombes died November 13, 2015, aged 78 years and T. Larry Coombes died December 1, 2012, aged 74 years in Taber, Alberta.

Price—Coombes

St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church was the setting of a pretty wedding when at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 1956, marriage vows were exchanged between Larry Coombes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Les Coombes, and Rose Lael Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Price, all of Taber. Fr. Lyons officiated; Mrs. Ken McDonald played the wedding march.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose for her wedding, a gown of white satin and net. Seed pearls complemented her tiara also a long veil, she carried a bouquet of American beauty roses, with a crystal rosary.

The bride was attended by Miss Irene Zelenka, who wore a gown of white moiré taffeta with a torso length bodice and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. Mr. Lynn Wenbourne supported the groom. Ushers were Gerald Godfrey and Denis Zelenka.

Following the service a reception was heldin the Wadena hall, which was beautifully decorated with pink streamers and white wedding bells. Taber Times, July 5, 1956.

Rose Coombes, beloved wife of the late Larry Coombes, passed away in Taber on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the age of 78 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. A private burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Rose is survived by her son Tim Coombes of Calgary and his daughter Jennifer Coombes & Alex Watt (her children Brandon, Angelle, Chase and step-children Kyla, Emily and Logan), Troy Coombes; son Tom Coombes of Taber; daughter Susan Coombes (Richard Bacho) of Taber; brother Hurley (Margaret) Price of Taber; brother-in-law Gordon Coombes of Calgary as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Larry Coombes; parents Charlie and Marcella Price; sister Devota “Buddy” Godfrey; brother-in-law Joe Godfrey and most of Larry’s family.
Rose’s family was the pride of her life. She was always up for a family outing or reunion. She loved knitting, fishing and camping, with gardening being her favorite pastime. Rose was interested in native cultures and would help anyone who was in need. Rose always looked forward to meeting with the Tea Party Ladies once a month, a tradition that spanned forty years.

Thomas Larry Coombes, beloved husband of Rose Coombes of Taber, passed away in Lethbridge on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the age of 74 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, December 7, 2012 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service was held at the Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Sandra Riddell officiating.

Besides his loving wife Rose, Larry is survived by their three children Tim Coombes of Calgary and his children Jennifer (Danny) Fournier (their children Brandon, Angelle and Chase) and Troy Coombes all of Taber; Tom Coombes of Taber; Susan Coombes (Richard Bacho) of Taber. He is also survived by his brother Gordon Coombes of Calgary, Rose’s brother Hurley (Margaret) Price of Taber and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Les and Corrine Coombes; sister Lynda Schauermann; sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Brian Ericksen; brother and sister-in-law Leroy and Shirley Coombes; Rose’s parents Charlie and Marcella Price; Rose’s sister and brother-in-law Buddy and Joe Godfrey.
