Lena Jane Adams (1865 ~ 1947)
10.6. Sixth child of McBride Adams and Martha McIntyre, Lena Jane Adams, was born November 27, 1865, in Baltimore, Hamilton Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.
She married Edward Shillington, son of William Shillington and Matilda Morrow, March 14, 1905, in Cobourg, Ontario and had one child:

Lena Jane Adams Shillington died June 10, 1947, aged 82 years in Roseneath, Ontario and Edward Shillington died August 8, 1937, aged 73 years in Melita, Manitoba.

Baltimore. Miss Lena Adams, daughter of the late McBride Adams, and Mr. Edward Shillington, of this village, were married in Cobourg on Monday evening, March 14, 1905, and started next day on their wedding trip to Holland, Man., where they intend making their future home. Lena J. Adams Shillington
The funeral of the late Mrs. Edward Shillington was held on Friday afternoon from the home of her brother, William Adams, with Rev. R. C. White of Roseneath officiating.
Mrs. Shillington died on June 10, 1947 after a short illness at the home of her brother William Adams in Alnwick Township. Previous to her marriage, she was Lena Jane Adams, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. McBride Adams of Baltimore where she was born. She was in her 83rd year.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Isabella Patterson of Hastings, and two brothers, William Adams of Roseneath and Robert Adams of Norham.
Interment was made at Pontypool Cemetery; the pallbearers were R. B. Nichol, G. Ivatt, W. Dowler, F. Murphy, and J. Towns.
Present at the service at Pontypool were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Adams and family, Mrs. Ella Adams, Mr. and Mrs. James Adams and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bullied and daughter of Toronto, Mrs. George Patterson and Mrs. Payne of Pontypool. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, June 26, 1947.
Edward Shillington
August 15, 1861 ~ August 8, 1937
The funeral of Edward Shillington, who passed away at his residence on Souris Street, Sunday morning, August 8, 1937, was held from his late home on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. M. P. Floyd, of Melita Presbyterian Church, officiated while members of the Melita L.O.L. lodge, of which the deceased was a staunch member, performed their burial rites at the graveside.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Sam McNutt, J. J. Morrow, F. Morrow, D. Hope, Jas. Polwarth and J. M. Jones. Interment was made in Melita cemetery.
Mr. Shillington was born in Cobourg, Ont., on August 15, 1861, and came to Western Canada 34 years ago. He has lived in Melita and the neighbouring Municipality of Arthur for 33 years, following his occupation as a teamster almost continuously until 1928.
Following his retirement from active duty, Mr. Shillington spent his remaining years quietly, interesting himself in his home, and passing the time of day with his friends of former years. He was a faithful member of Melita Presbyterian church and a loyal adherent to the Conservative party. He suffered from failing health during the past few years and a heart attack which culminated in his death caused him to take to his bed a short time ago. Melita New Era, Aug. 12, 1937.
