Leana Linton (1890 ~ 1979)
10.7.2. Second child of Maria I. Adams and James D. Linton, Leana Linton, was born October 14, 1890, in Roseneath, Alnwick Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.
She married Harvey William Eddy, son of George Harvey Eddy and Orilla Masters, March 2, 1921, in Toronto, Ontario and had one child:

Leana Linton Eddy died February 23, 1979, aged 88 years and Harvey W. Eddy died December 4, 1968, aged 83 years, in Cobourg, Ontario and is interred at Castleton Cemetery.

Leana Linton Eddy
Mrs. Leana Eddy of R.R.5, Colborne, passed away Friday, February 23, 1979 in Cobourg General Hospital after suffering a heart attack. She was 88 years of age.
Born in Alnwick Township, October 14, 1890, she was the daughter of the late James Linton and the late former Isabella Adams. Mrs. Eddy lived in Alnwick Township for many years then in Cramahe Township since 1962. She was a member of the United Church.
She was married in Toronto, March 2, 1921. Her husband pre-deceased her in December of 1968.
Mrs. Eddy is survived by her son, Walter Eddy of Colborne, by brother Sidney Linton of Havelock and by her sister Elizan Eddy of San Francisco, California. She is also survived by four grandchildren and by eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday, February 26, 1979 from the Allen Funeral Home, Warkworth. Rev. David Potter of Colborne officiated. Spring interment will be in Castleton Cemetery. Warkworth Journal, Mar. 8, 1979.
Harvey W. Eddy
October 26, 1885 ~ December 4, 1968
Mr. Harvey Walter Eddy of Colborne passed away after a very short illness in Cobourg District General Hospital on Wednesday, December 4, 1968. He was in his 84th year.
Mr. Eddy was the son of the late George Eddy and the late former Aurilla Masters. He was born at Eddystone in Haldimand Township and moved with his parents to Burnley when he was a boy. When his family lived at Burnley they lived in the old hotel which was destroyed by fire. He moved to Colborne in 1962.
Mr. Eddy who was a farmer for many years was affiliated with the United Church of Roseneath and Colborne and a member of the Orange Lodge who held a service at the funeral home on Friday evening.
He is survived by his wife, the former Leana Linton, one son Walter of Colborne and four grandchildren, Paul of Cobourg, Jim of Trenton, Burnett of Colborne and Mary (Mrs. David Bertin) of Cobourg and two brothers, Fred of Toronto and Ray of Hastings.
The funeral was held from the Allen Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. R. W. French officiating at the service.
The pallbearers were Paul, Jim and Burnett Eddy and David Bertin, grandsons of the deceased and Smith Ellis and Elmer Calberry.
Flower bearers were Hugh DeMille, Garnet Steckenreiter, Leo Linton, Don Dainard, Douglas Arthur and Phillip Warner. Interment was in Castleton Cemetery. Warkworth Journal, Dec. 12, 1968.
