Myrtle Ellen Eddy (1924 ~ 1979)

10.7.5.2. Second child of Elizan Linton and Robert A. Eddy, Myrtle Ellen Eddy, was born October 28, 1924, in Roseneath, Alnwick Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.

She married Roy Arthur Robinson, son of Earl Winfield Robinson and Elsie, June 10, 1944, in Rochester, New York, U.S. and had seven children:

Myrtle E. Eddy Robinson died March 22, 1979, aged 54 years, and Roy A. Robinson died February 24, 2008, aged 90 years in Daly City, California.

Eddy-Robinson

Before an altar of palms, peonies and white candles in the Wesley Methodist Church, June 10, 1944 at 4 p.m., Miss Myrtle Eddy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eddy of Clay Avenue, became the bride of Roy A. Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Robinson of Webster Avenue. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Clifford A. Schrimshaw, pastor.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white rayon taffeta en train with long sleeves and a heart-shaped neckline. A full length veil of tulle fell from a crown of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of white roses and snapdragons.

Miss Cora Robinson, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor and wore a gown of blue chiffon. She carried yellow roses and blue snapdragons. Miss Margaret Jones and Miss Marjorie Vary acted as bridesmaids. Elsie Robinson, sister of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Oliver Eddy, brother of the bride, was best man and ushers were Vincent Eddy and Francis McQuaig.

Mr. and Mrs. Robinson spent a brief time in Detroit and are now residing in Clay Avenue. Rochester Times-Union, July 28, 1944.

Myrtle E. Eddy Robinson

October 28, 1924 ~ March 22, 1979

Longtime Pacifica resident Myrtle Robinson died Thursday, March 22, 1979 at Mary’s Help Hospital, at the age of 54.

A native of Ontario, Canada, Mrs. Robinson had been active with the Pacifica Boy Scouts.

Survivors include her husband, Roy; children Robert Earl, Ronald Robinson, Ellen Carlin, Carol Salinas, Patricia Leon, Deborah Hammack & Sheila Robinson all of Pacifica; her mother, Elizan Eddy of Pacifica; brothers Oliver Eddy of Kentucky and Vincent Eddy of Rochester, NY and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Olivet Cemetery Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Sunday at Naumann & Lincoln Chapel by the Sea, Pacifica. San Mateo Times, Mar. 24, 1979.

Robert E. Robinson was born to Roy and Myrtle Robinson in Rochester, New York May 24, 1945. He died June 12, 2009, from a heart attack at Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento. A resident of Plymouth, CA, Bob retired after 30 years with Pacific Telephone Co. and lived in Pacifica, CA. Bob retired in 2001 and moved to Plymouth, where he and his beloved wife of 37 years, Jean, enjoyed trips to Jackson Rancheria Casino and fishing on Lake Amador.

Bob grew up in both Rochester, NY, and San Francisco. Graduating from Mission High School, Bob was a member of the USAF.

Bob leaves behind his beloved son Michael of Sacramento, sisters Ellen (Joe) Carlin of Plymouth, Carol (Ralph) Salinas of Sutter Creek, Pat (Kathy) Leon of Folsom, Debbie (Ed) Hamack of Paradise, Sheila Contreras of Roseville and brother Ronald (Debbie) Robinson of Colma, CA. A private service was held and a memorial service will be held next month-date pending. Amador Ledger Dispatch, June 15, 2009.
