10.7.5.3. Third child of Elizan Linton and Robert A. Eddy, Oliver Alfred Eddy, was born February 15, 1927, in Rochester, New York, U.S.

He married Violet Pearl Gould, daughter of Arthur E. Gould and Nellie Rose Gage, February 15, 1957, Reno, Nevada, and had three children:

O. Alfred Eddy died September 26, 1983, aged 56 years, in Blum, Texas, and is interred at Whitney Cemetery.

O. Alfred Eddy

Mr. O. Alfred Eddy, age 56 of Rt. 1, Blum, Texas, died Monday, September 26, 1983, at his residence. Graveside service at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 5th at Whitney Cemetery. Rev. Billy Daniel officiating.

Mr. Eddy was born February 15, 1927 in Rochester, New York, the son of Robert and Elizan Linton Eddy. He had lived in the Whitney, Blum area since 1980. He married Violet Gould, February 15, 1957. He was employed at Tidwell Industries, Inc., in Hillsboro. Mr. Eddy was a Methodist and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Eddy and one son, William Alfred Eddy in the Air Force in Italy, two daughters, Bernice Eddy Gleason of Copperas Cove and Donna Eddy Speer of Austin and four grandchildren.

Violet Pearl Johnson, 76, of Belton, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Alabama. She was born April 9, 1935 in Batavia, New York.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Harper Talavek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be in Temple Garden of Memories following the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 a.m.

Violet moved from Radcliff, Kentucky in 1980 and has lived in the Belton area since. She was of the Baptist faith.

Violet is survived by her husband, Ron Strickland; her children: Bernice E. Cochran and husband Russell, William A. "Billy" Eddy and wife, Michelle, Donna E. Speer and husband, Randy A. Westfall, Sr., Teresa Ann Bain, Charles A. Strickland, Vicky Michelle Marcelous, Vicky Ann Johnson, Christopher Wayne Strickland and Crystal Lynn Tabony, grandchildren: Rachel Gleason, Roger Gleason, III, Dustin Cochran, Fernando Cortez, Robert M. Speer, Jr., Christopher A. Speer, Michael W. Speer, Randy A. Westfall, Jr., William A. "Aaron" Eddy, Sydney L. Eddy and William R. Eddy; and 10 great-grandchildren.
