A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Wright, Alliston, Wednesday, May 16, 1928, when their youngest daughter, Margaret, was united in marriage to Mr. James Dermott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dermott, also of Alliston. Rev. A. B. Irwin officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, looked charming in a gown of white georgette trimmed with silver lace and tulle. Her veil of embroidered net held in place by a dainty cornet of orange blossoms, fell in graceful folds over her dress. She carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas. Miss Minetta McDermott of Beeton, as bridesmaid, wore pale pink georgette trimmed with lace and carried a bouquet of carnations and sweet peas. The groom was supported by Mr. Joseph Wright, brother of the bride. Miss Annie Anderson of Toronto, niece of the bride, who played the wedding march, wore a dainty little French gown of peach crepe de chene. The contracting parties were recipients of many gifts from their hosts of friends. Following the ceremony a sumptuous breakfast was served. After which amid showers of confetti the happy couple left for Niagara and other points, the bride travelling in a grey coat, with fox fur cuffs, grey shoes and stockings, with hat to match.
