2.2.6. Sixth child of Thomas Ranson and Sarah Ann Mortimer, Sarah Jane Ranson, was born October 12, 1881, in Lutterworth Twp., Haliburton Co., Ontario.

Sarah Jane Ranson died October 19, 1960, aged 79 years, in Lindsay, Ontario and is interred at Minden Village Cemetery.

Sarah J. Ranson

On Wednesday, October 19, 1960, at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, another of the older residents of Minden passed away, Sarah Jane Ranson.

Born in Minden on October 12, 1881, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ranson and a member of Minden United Church W.M.S. and W.I.

Left to mourn her loss are her sister, Mrs. William Wright (Annie) of Alliston; a brother Thomas Ranson of Grande Prairie, Alta.; a niece Irene Ranson of Minden and Laura, Mrs. A. M. Adams of St. Catharines, Ont.

The service was conducted by Rev. David Staples at her late residence on Friday, October 21, 1960. Pallbearers were Messrs. David and Robert Adams, Will Ranson and Bill Ranson, James Graham and Russell Lewis. Interment was in Minden Cemetery.
