William Ranson (1846 ~ 1932)
2.4. Fourth child of Ann Adams and Robert Ranson, William Ranson, was born December 8, 1846, in Haldimand Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.
He married Elizabeth Coborn, daughter of James Coborn and Sarah Fee, March 9, 1875, in Coboconk, Victoria Co., Ontario and had nine children:

William Ranson died March 22, 1932, aged 85 years and Elizabeth Coborn Ranson died September 29, 1941, aged 88 years in Lindsay, Ontario and are interred at Minden Village Cemetery.

Elizabeth Coborn Ranson
November 14, 1852 ~ September 29, 1941
After a lingering illness there passed to her reward on Monday, September 29, 1941, Elizabeth Coborn, wife of the late William Ranson, at her home on Russell St. W., in her 89th year.
The late Mrs. Ranson was born in the state of New York. After a short time the family moved to Huntingdon, Que., from there they moved to Minden, Ontario and at Coboconk she was married. In 1906 they with their family moved to Lindsay where she has resided ever since, her husband having predeceased her about nine years ago.
The deceased was a faithful member of the Anglican Church. Left to mourn the loss of a loving mother are one daughter and six sons: Mrs. George Baldwin, Frank, Robert and William of Lindsay, Harry of Bracebridge, Thomas of Toronto and Arnott of Montreal, also 18 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service on Wednesday afternoon was conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. A. Goldring and interment will be made in Minden Cemetery. Lindsay Post, Oct. 1, 1941.
