Elizabeth Ann Agnes Ranson  (1911 ~ 1986)

 

2.4.3.2. Second child of William James Ranson and Maud Eveline Snell, Elizabeth Ann 'Agnes' Ranson, was born January 17, 1911, in Anson Twp., Haliburton Co., Ontario.

  She married John HenryJackQuibell, son of Thomas Edward Quibell and Laura Bell Ward, August 31, 1935, in Lindsay, Ontario.

 

  E. A. Agnes Ranson Quibell died December 30, 1986, aged 76 years and John H. “JackQuibell died November 29, 1987, aged 79 years in Lindsay, Ontario and are interred at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.

E. A. Agnes Ranson Quibell

Elizabeth Ann Agnes Quibell of 126 Colborne St. W., Apt. 401, Lindsay passed away at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on December 30, 1986, after a lengthy illness, Mrs. Quibell, the wife of John Henry Quibell, was in her 76th year.

  Born in Minden, Mrs. Quibell was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Maud Ranson.

  Agnes Quibell was the sister of Myrtle Ranson, Helen Ranson, and Philip Ranson, all of Lindsay, and Norman Ranson of Chatham. She was also the sister of Ray Ranson, Doris Brasier, and Doug Ranson, all predeceased.

  Mrs. Quibell was the good friend of Lori Langton.

  Agnes Quibell, a member of the Anglican church, lived and was educated in Minden before moving to Lindsay where she had lived for the past 58 years.

  Services for Mrs. Quibell were held at the Mackey Funeral Home. The funeral took place December 31, 1986 at the Riverside Cemetery.

  Rev. John Langton of the Lemonville United Church and Rev. Frank Vaughan of the Fairview Baptist Church, Lindsay were the officiating clergyman. Lindsay Post, Jan. 7, 1987.

 

John H. Quibell

December 23, 1907 ~ November 29, 1987

John (Jack) Henry Quibell passed away suddenly at his home, 126 Colborne St. W., Lindsay, on November 29, 1987, at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Ann Agnes Ranson.

  Jack Quibell was born in Fenelon Falls, the son of the late Thomas E. Quibell and Laura Bella Ward. He had resided in Lindsay most of his life and was retired from Northern Casket. Jack was a past member of the Lindsay Community Lawn Bowling Association.

  The funeral service was held December 1 at 2 p.m. from the Mackey Funeral Home in Lindsay. Rev. John Langton of Lemonville United Church officiated at the service, with interment at Riverside Cemetery.

  Jack was the dear brother of Ivan and Ralph both of Lindsay, and was predeceased by Wilbert, Clarence, Daniel, Annie, Roland, Harvey and Archie. Fondly remembered by Lorie Langton of Lemonville and many nieces and nephews. Lindsay Post, Jan. 13, 1988.
