Robert Ranson  (1889 ~ 1971)

 

2.4.7. Seventh child of William Ranson and Elizabeth Coburn, Robert Ranson, was born February 16, 1889, in Anson Twp., Haliburton Co., Ontario.  

 

  Robert Ranson died April 16, 1971, aged 82 years, in Minden, Ontario and is interred at Minden Village Cemetery.

Robert Ranson

Robert Ranson passed away at Hyland Crest Senior Citizen’s Home, Minden, on April 16, 1971. He was 82 years of age.

  Born at Minden, he was the son of the late William Ranson and Elizabeth Coborn and had lived in Minden for the past four years, having previously lived in Lindsay. He received his education at Minden and was a veteran of World War I.

  He is survived by one brother, Arnott Ranson of Montreal. Henry, William, Jack, Frank, Agnes, Thomas and Margaret (Mrs. George Baldwin) are all predeceased.

  The funeral was held on April 19 at 2:00 p.m. from the John Welch Funeral Home, Minden, with interment at Minden Cemetery. Rev. Ball, Anglican Minister of Kinmount, conducted the service.

  The pallbearers were Ray Ranson, Dick Brasier, Jack Quibell, William Adams, Earl Hewitt and Holly Kernohan. Minden Hills Museum Obituary Collection.
