2.4.8.3. Third child of Thomas Ranson and Alma Hazelton, Ronald Stuart Ranson, was born June 2, 1932, in Lindsay, Ontario.
He married Eleanor Ruth Wettlaufer, daughter of Clayton Daniel Wettlaufer and Norma Marie van der Hart, September 26, 1953, in Toronto, Ontario, and had four children:

Ronald S. Ranson
On January 4, 1972, Mr. Ronald Stuart Ranson of 11920 - 128th Street passed away at the age of 39 years. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his loving wife, Eleanor; three sons, Marc, Douglas and Stuart all at home; his loving mother, Mrs. Alma Ranson; his sister, Mrs. Betty Evans, and his brother, Mr. Allan Ranson, all of Toronto. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. from Howard and McBride’s chapel with Rev. Dr. E. J. White officiating. Cremation will follow. Eleanor R. Wettlaufer Ranson Holmes
April 4, 1933 ~ July 23, 2017
It is with much sadness that the family of Eleanor Ruth Holmes announces her passing after a brief illness. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years, Bryan Lewis Holmes; sons, Marc (Lorna) Ranson, Doug (Joyce) Ranson, and Stuart (Brenda) Ranson; stepdaughters, Cheryl (Neil) Gerdes, and Brenda Holmes; twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Eleanor was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald Ranson, daughter Linda, and brothers, Ron and Paul.
A celebration of life will be held at Howard & McBride Chapel of Chimes, 10179 108 Street NW, Edmonton, on Saturday, July 29, at 2 p.m.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their kindness and attention during Eleanor's brief stay.
