Cecil Arnott Ranson (1894 ~ 1976)

2.4.9. Ninth child of William Ranson and Elizabeth Coburn, Cecil 'Arnott' Ranson, was born October 6, 1894, in Anson Twp., Haliburton Co., Ontario.

He married Grace 'Mizpah' Ann Heasman, daughter of George Heasman and Rosanna Elizabeth Cawdron, September 8, 1927, Ottawa, Ontario and had three children:

C. Arnott Ranson died June 21, 1976, aged 81 years and G. Mizpah A. Heasman Ranson died November 1, 1986, aged 85 years in Montréal, Québec and are interred at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario.

Ranson—Heasman

Gladioli in pretty pastel tones effectively adorned All Saints Anglican Church, Ottawa, Saturday afternoon for the quiet wedding at one o'clock of Mizpah, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Heasman, to Arnott Ranson, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ranson, of Lindsay, Ont. Rev. C. E. Hepburr officiated in the presence of a few relatives and friends. Professor F. W. Bearder presided at the organ and played softly through the service. During the signing of the register “O Perfect Love” was rendered.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and was unattended. She wore a smart beige shade crepe romaine taileur, with small insets of lace on the sleeves and vestee. Her hat was a two-toned model of French felt in beige and brown and she wore a dainty shoulder knot of Ophelia roses and lily-of-the-valley.

Mr. and Mrs. Ranson left immediately on a motor trip. The bride wore a motor coat of beige charmeen with deep caracul collar of dark brown. Lindsay Watchman-Warder, Sept. 22, 1927.
