Since the death of his sister, Miss Annie Allin, he has resided with Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Allin and given assistance each autumn in the orchard work.

Mr. Allin was a quiet unassuming man who was ever ready to do a good turn or help a neighbour. He was a life-long member of the Methodist and United Churches and was a very regular attendant.

The burial service was conducted by his pastor, Rev. S. R. Henderson on June 11. The esteem in which he was held was evidenced by beautiful floral tributes.

The pallbearers were: Messrs. George Annis, Douglas Cole, Wesley Yellowlees, Clare, Sam and Alfred Allin.

Three brothers, Wesley, Charles and Norman Allin survive him. Bowmanville Statesman, June 29, 1951.
