Annie Beatrice Joness  (1884 ~ 1974)

 

4.1.4.7. Seventh child of John M. Joness and Annie E. McFadden, Annie 'Beatrice' Joness, was born October 16, 1884, in Bowmanville, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario. 

  A. Beatrice Joness died November 18, 1974, aged 90 years in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and is interred at Moose Jaw Cemetery.

A. Beatrice Joness

October 16, 1884 ~ November 18, 1974

The funeral service for Miss Annie Beatrice (Joney) Joness of 1091 3rd Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw will be held at Zion United Church on Thursday November 21, 1974 at 2 p.m. Reverend Donald Browne will officiate and interment will follow at the Moose Jaw Cemetery. Miss Joness passed away at her residence on Monday, November 18, 1974 at the age of 90 years. Born in Darlington Twp., Northumberland and Durham County, Ontario. Came west in 1913 and was appointed to the Moose Jaw public school staff in September 1913 and had taught at the Empire and Alexander Public schools retiring in 1947. Miss Joness was a member of Zion United Church, the Red Cross Society, the John Howard Society and was a life member of the Womans Christian Temperance Union, also a life member of the Zion United Church Women and the Zion United Church friendship unit, the PCTC at Fort Qu’Appelle, worked in the office at Zion United Church from 1947 until 1966. She is survived by three nieces Mrs. M. Ritchie and Miss Margaret Brittain of Penticton, B.C. and Mrs. Marjorie Ryan of Vancouver, B.C. Contributions for the Zion United Church Memorial Fund may be left at the church or the W. J. Jones and Son Funeral Home. Moose Jaw Times-Herald, Nov. 20, 1974.
