William Munroe Adams  (1899 ~ 1985)

 

4.2.2. Second child of William Adams and Margaret McDonald, William Munroe Adams, was born January 13, 1899, in Wyebridge, Tiny Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario. 

  He married Lila Viola Scott, daughter of Charles Alexander Scott and Annie May Mereweather, March 30, 1921, in Midland, Simcoe Co., Ontario and had six children:

• (4.2.2.6)  Beverly Eden Scott  (1940 ~ 2020)    

 

  W. Munroe Adams died Janaury 25, 1985, aged 86 years, in Toronto, Ontario and Lila V. Scott Adams died June 14, 1983, aged 85 years in Midland, Ontario and are interred at Wyebridge Presbyterian Cemetery.

W. Munroe Adams

Funeral services were held January 27, 1985 at the Nicholls Funeral Home for William Munroe Adams of Wyebridge who died January 25, 1985 at the age of 86 at Toronto General Hospital.

  The son of William and Margaret Adams, Adams was born in Wyebridge, worked there as a farmer, and married Lila Viola Scott in Wyebridge (where he was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church).

  Predeceased by his wife Lila Viola and son John Robert, Munroe Adams was the father of William Charles Adams of Waverley, Douglas Munroe Adams of Wyevale, Gerald Donald Adams of Scarborough, Beverly Eden Scott Adams of Wyebridge, and daughter Vera May (Mrs. Harold Nichols) of R.R.1, Midland.

  Munroe Adams also has 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Officiating at the January 27 funeral was Rev. Al Farthing, with burial at Wyebridge Presbyterian Cemetery.  

  Acting as pallbearers were grandchildren, John Nichols, Charles Adams, Michael Adams, Patrick Adams, Gary Adams, and Jeffery Adams. Midland Free Press, Jan. 30, 1985.

 

Lila V. Scott Adams

July 2, 1897 ~ June 17, 1983

Funeral services were held for Lila Viola Adams on June 17, 1983 at the Nicholls Funeral Home. Rev. Al Farthing was the officiating clergy. Interment Wyebridge Presbyterian Cemetery, Wyebridge. 

  Lila Viola Adams passed away in her 86th year on June 14, 1983 at the Huronia District Hospital.

   Born in Midland she was the daughter of the late Charles Alexander Scott and Annie May Maryweather. She married W. Munroe Adams in 1921 and thereafter lived in Wyebridge. A homemaker Mrs. Adams was a member of the Wyebridge Presbyterian Church and the Wyebridge Ladies Institute.

  Lila Viola Adams is survived by her husband W. Munroe Adams as well as her sons William of Waverley, Douglas of Wyevale, Gerald of Scarborough and Bev of Wyebridge. She is also survived by her daughter Vera (Mrs. Harold Nichols) of Midland as well as her brother Bev Scott of Midland.
