4.2.2.1. First child of John Elford and Fanny Colton, Edgar Erwin Elford, was born June 11, 1863, in Hampton, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.
He married (1) Ann Letitia Welch, daughter of James Richard Welch and Mary Robinson, December 10, 1886, in Langdon, Cavalier Co., North Dakota, U.S. and had five children:

He married (4) Alix Sena Cameron Farrell, daughter of James Cameron and Ann Campbell, November 24, 1954, in E. Jordan, Michigan, U.S.
Edgar E. Elford died July 10, 1957, aged 94 years in E. Jordan, Michigan and Ann L. Welch Elford died January 13, 1916, aged 49 years in Wauchula, Hardee Co., Florida.

Ella L. Guest Perry Elford
June 16, 1883 ~ March 24, 1939
Mrs. Ella Perry-Elford, age 71, passed away March 24, 1939, at her home in East Jordan after a short illness. Death due to coronary thrombosis.
Funeral services were held from the chapel of the A. Ross Huffman Funeral Home, Sunday afternoon, March 26th, Rev. J. C. Mathews officiating. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Battle Creek, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. S. B. Owen.
She leaves to mourn a husband, Edgar E. Elford of this city, and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Adolph Drapeau, of Detroit.
Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, February 15, 1868. Came to Michigan in 1870 with her parents, there resided the greater portion of her life. She came to East Jordan three years ago where she had since made her home. Charlevoix County Herald, Mar. 31, 1939.

A. Bell Carney Kimball Elford
April 27, 1874 ~ December 23, 1951
Funeral services for Mrs. Bell Elford were held at Watson’s funeral home, Wednesday, December 26, 1951, conducted by Rev. Robert H. Moore. Bearers were Bert Scott, Ronald Scott, Dan Bennett and Ed Nemecek. Interment was at Sunset Hill, East Jordan, under the auspices of Jasamine Rebekah Lodge, No. 365.
Born Alice Bell Carney, April 27, 1874, at Dundee, Mich. In 1895 she was married to Adolph Kimball who passed away in February 1935. On June 10, 1940 she was united in marriage to E. E. Elford was a member of Jasamine Rebekah Lodge No. 365 for many years.
She passed away at her home, 206 3rd St., in East Jordan, December 23, 1951, after a long illness.
