Hilda Elford  (1887 ~ 1985)

 

4.2.3.8. Eighth child of William H. Elford and Mary E. Webster, Hilda Elford, was born January 19, 1887, in Carman, Manitoba.

 She married Walter Shuttleworth, son of Henry Shuttleworth and Ellen Arnold, December 24, 1930, in Carman, Manitoba.

  Hilda Elford Shuttleworth died July 4, 1985, aged 98 years, in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Elford—Shuttleworth

Walter Shuttleworth and Miss Hilda Elford were quietly married Wednesday night, December 24, 1930, at the home of Mrs. Hamilton Armstrong, the ceremony being performed by Rev. R. A. Swyers. Both are well known here, they have the best wishes of a great circle of friends for a happy matrimonial voyage. Carman Dufferin Leader, Jan. 1, 1931.

Hilda Elford Shuttleworth

January 19, 1887 ~ July 4, 1985

Hilda Shuttleworth (nee Elford) on July 4, 1985 in Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, in her 99th year, eighth and last surviving child of well known Manitoba pioneers, William and Mary Elford.

 Lovingly and gratefully remembered by the many Elford descendants and by her numerous friends.

 A memorial service will be held later in Carman, Man. Phone Shirley Oughton, 204-745-3129.
