Ella Gertrude Rogers  (1880 ~ 1976)

 

4.2.4.4. Fourth child of Elizabeth A. Elford and Charles Rogers, Ella Gertrude Rogers, was born March 16, 1880, in Port Perry, Reach Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario.  

  She married William Gemmell Morrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Morrison, c. 1950, in Bowmanville, Ontario.

  Ella G. Rogers Morrison died November 10, 1976, aged 96 years, and William G. Morrison died December 27, 1967, aged 84 years in Bowmanville, Ontario.

Ella G. Rogers Morrison
March 16, 1880 ~ November 10, 1976

Ill for approximately three years, Ella G. Morrison, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 1976.

  Educated in Ontario schools, and the New York Hospital School of Nursing, she was born in Port Perry and was the daughter of Charles and Eliza Rogers. She was married in 1950 to William G. Morrison.

  A resident of Bowmanville for the past 20 years, she had previously resided in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, North Dakota, U.S.A. and Grimsby.

  She was a member of Trinity United Chuch and a member of the Professional Nursing Association.

  Funeral services, followed by cremation were held on Friday at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home with Rev. John Peters officiating.

  Surviving is Mrs. Gilbert Van Nest (Winifred) San Francisco. She was predeceased by brothers Robert Rogers, and John Herbert Rogers, three sisters Mrs. George Holmes (Mabel) California, Mrs. John Riley (Margaret) Chicago, Mrs. W. J. Joness (Mary) California. William G. Morrison

April 29, 1883 ~ December 27, 1967

Suddenly at his home, 47 Church Street, Bowmanville, on Wednesday, December 27, 1967, William Morrison, in his 88th year, beloved husband of Ella G. Rogers. Resting at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home. Funeral service 2 o’clock Friday afternoon. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Boy Scouts of Bowmanville would be appreciated. Oshawa Times, Dec. 28 1967.
