Jane Smale Hore
October 16, 1843 ~ May 16, 1884
In Lindsay, on May 16, 1884, Jane Lenora Hore, beloved wife of Mr. John Hore, aged 40 years and 7 months.
We regret to have to record the death of Mrs. John Hore at her residence in Lindsay on Monday evening last after a brief illness. Mrs. Hore was not very strong in her constitution, and having contracted a severe cold erysipelas set in and, although everything was done that medical skill could devise and the disease was supposed to be checked, yet owing to weakness of her constitution she passed away. Mrs. Hore was a member of the Bible Christian church for more than nineteen years and was always interested in anything that added to its prosperity. The funeral took place on Wednesday and was very largely attended. Service was held in the Little Britain church, the Rev. W. Limbert officiating. Mr. Hore has the sympathy of the whole community in his sad bereavement. Lindsay Post, May 23, 1884.
