Violet Lillian Archer  (1904 ~ 1998)

 

4.3.3.1. First child of Samuel Archer and Evalena May Wagner, Violet Lillian Archer, was born November 29, 1904, in Tiny Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario. 

  She married Cecil Elgie Nelson German, son of William John Smith German and Elizabeth Jane Elgie, June 15, 1927, in Midland, Ontario and had three children:

• (4.3.3.1.2)  Helen Evalena May  (1930 ~ 1994)    

• (4.3.3.1.3)  Francis Cecil  (1936 ~ 1937) 

 

  Violet L. Archer German died October 1, 1998, aged 93 years in Midland, Ontario and Cecil E. German died July 1, 1978, aged 77 years in Collingwood, Ontario and are interred at Lakeview Cemetery, Midland, Ontario.

Violet Lillian German, at the residence on King Street, Midland on Thursday, October 1, 1998 in her 94th year. Violet Archer of Midland, beloved wife of the late Cecil German. Predeceased by her children, Helen and William. A funeral service was held in the chapel of the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Sunday, October 4th. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Midland. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Midland Free Press, Oct. 7, 1998.

At the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on Saturday, July 1, 1978. Cecil E. N. German, beloved husband of Violet Archer of New Lowell, formerly of R.R.2, Midland, in his 78th year. Dear father of Helen and Bill, both of New Lowell. Brother of Ethel (Mrs. Roy Ferguson) of Glen Huron. Rested at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave. Midland after 2 p.m. Tuesday for funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday July 5th.  Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Midland. At the Villa Care Centre, Midland on Sunday, August 3, 1997 in his 69th year. William John Smith German of Midland, formerly of New Lowell, beloved son of Violet of Midland and the late Cecil German. Predeceased by a sister, Helen. Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Wednesday, August 6th from 1-3 p.m. Services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Midland Free Press, Aug. 6, 1997.
