Alfred Roy Archer  (1920 ~ 1983)

 

4.3.6.2. Second child of Frederick Archer and Anna V. Beatty, Alfred Roy Archer, was born February 4, 1920, in Midland, Simcoe Co., Ontario. 

  He married (1) Jean Barr Todd, daughter of John Todd and Margaret Jarvie Barr, July 121941*, in St. Catharines, Ontario and had three children:

  • (4.3.6.2.2)  Roy Hilton  (1945 ~ 2004) 

  • (4.3.6.2.3)  Margaret Jean  (1947 ~ ) 

 

  He married (2) Mary Luchkewich, daughter of Zenon Michael Luczkiewicz and Stephanie Zarska, April 1, 1950, in St. Catharines, Ontario and had two children:

  • (4.3.6.2.4)  Ann  (1955 ~ )   

 

  A. Roy Archer died November 3, 1983, aged 63 years, in St. Catharines, Ontario and is interred at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

A. Roy Archer

A. Roy Archer at his home on Thursday, November 3, 1983 following a brief illness. A. Roy Archer, beloved husband of Mary Archer in his 64th year; dear father of Ann Archer of Vancouver, Raymond, Roy and Gary Archer of St. Catharines; also survived by several grandchildren; predeceased by a brother Hugh Archer. Mr. Archer was founder and Past President of Archer Truck Service Ltd. He was a veteran of the Second World War, was active in the Civitan Club and had worked with the handicapped citizens in Florida.

  Mr. Archer is resting at the Hulse & English Funeral Home, 75 Church St. at Lyman. Service in the Chapel on Saturday 9:30 a.m. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

  Donations to the Niagara Regional Cat Scanner Fund would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Friday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. St. Catharines Standard, Nov. 4, 1983.

Roy H. Archer

September 4, 1945 ~ November 12, 2004

After a courageous fight with cancer on Saturday, November 12, 2004, Roy Hilton Archer, beloved wife of Sonja (Jensen) Archer. Loving father of Lee-Anna (Rick) Neilson, Tannia (Kerry) York, Todd (Rosie) Archer, Dawn (Richard) Reist, Roy, Jr. (Vickie) Archer, and cousin Richard (Susan) Archer. Loving papa of 16 grandchildren. Let’s all have a “Roader” in celebration of Roy’s life at the Belvedere Social Club, John Street, Thorold, Ontario on Sunday, November 21, 2004 between 1 and 5 p.m. Eulogy 2 p.m. Donations to West Parry Sound Health Centre, 10 James Street, Parry Sound, P2A 1T3. S. Carole Murphy Archer

May 14, 1944 ~ March 24, 2008

Carole Archer passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the age of 63. Dearly loved mother of Richard Archer (Karen Epp) of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Cherished grandmother of Mathew and Mitchell. Dear sister of Dennis (Celine) Murphy of Lasalle and Dianne (Jim) Crow of Arizona. She will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and by her many friends at the Niagara Region. Friends are invited to call at the Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date in Lachine, Quebec. The Vigil for Carole will be celebrated Wednesday at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Janet Marion Foster ~ After a lengthy illness at the Versa Care Centre on Thursday October 22, 2009 in her 63rd year. Janet, wife and companion of David Nesbitt for 21 years. Dear mother of Tannia, Todd, Roy, Amy Catie, Megan and grandmother of 12. Dear sister of Fred (Pat). Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 169 St. Paul Cres., on Thursday October 29th at 1 p.m. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at Moose Lodge.
