Ida Llewella Gilbert (1871 ~ 1964)
4.4.1.4. Fourth child of Eliza A. Souch and John Gilbert, Ida Llewella Gilbert, was born November 26, 1871, in Enniskillen, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.
She married William John Trenouth, son of Richard Trenouth and Elizabeth Martin, c. 1899, in Enniskillen, Ontario.
Ida L. Gilbert Trenouth died December 7, 1964, aged 93 years and William J. Trenouth died April 29, 1946, aged 69 years in Bowmanville, Ontario and are interred at Bowmanville Cemetery.

Ida L. Gilbert Trenouth
November 26, 1871 ~ December 7, 1964
The death of Mrs. William J. Trenouth, aged 93 years, occurred at Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, on Monday, December 7, 1964. She had been in hospital for 11 days following a leg fracture suffered in a fall at her home.
Daughter of the late John and Eliza Gilbert was born at Enniskillen. She was predeceased by her husband, Mr. William J. Trenouth, a school teacher.
A housewife, Mrs. Trenouth had resided in Bowmanville for 13 years and at one time lived in Napanee. She was a member of Trinity United Church, Bowmanville, and of the United Church Women.
The deceased will be greatly missed by relatives and friends with whom she has spent many happy hours, and especially by Mr. and Mrs. John Cox with whom she shared her home and from whom she recieved loving and tender care for many years.
Mrs. Trenouth is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service was held from the Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville, on Thursday, December 10th, and was conducted by Rev. W. K. Houslander of Trinity United Church. Interment was in Bowmanville Cemetery. During the service organ music was played by Mrs. Ross Hallowell.
Beautiful floral tributes from friends and relatives testified to the respect in which the deceased was held.
Pallbearers were Messrs. Percy Gilbert, Alfred Allin, Samuel Allin, Alex Trenouth, Elford Cox and Roy Metcalf. Bowmanville Statesman, Dec. 16, 1964.

William J. Trenouth
June 21, 1876 ~ April 29, 1946
William J. Trenouth, 67 years old, a former principal of the Napanee public schools, who retired from that position six years ago, passed away suddenly at his home in Napanee, on April 29, 1946. Though his health has not been good for some time his demise was unexpected.
Mr. Trenouth, while principal of Napanee schools was a very efficient teacher and highly respected by both pupils and the Board of Education.
Born in Bowmanville, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Trenouth, he had served on school staffs at Newcastle, Newtonville and Norwood before going to Napanee in 1917.
He is survived by his widow, the former Ida Gilbert of Bowmanville. Interment was in the Bowmanville cemetery on May 1. Bowmanville Statesman, May 9, 1946.
