Archibald James Adams  (1914 ~ 1991)

 

4.4.3.2. Second child of John Adams and Sophie Kurtenbach, Archibald James Adams, was born December 15, 1914, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. 

  He married Theresa Mary Gmeinwieser, daughter of Joseph Gmeinwieser and Barbara Bauer, July 6, 1940, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. 

 

  Archibald J. Adams died November 25, 1991, aged 76 years and Theresa M. Gmeinwieser Adams died July 1, 1979, aged 66 years in Victoria, British Columbia and are interred at Royal Oak Burial Park.

Archibald J. Adams

The death of Archibald James Adams, of Victoria, B.C. occurred on November 25, 1991, after a short illness. He is survived by four brothers: John (Dorian), Walter (Charlotte), Harold (Lucy) and Earl (Charmaine); four sisters: Agnes (Stuart) Priest, Marian (Charles) Ritchie, Vivian (Roy) Phillips and Shirley (Stan) Checkley. He was predeceased by his loving wife Theresa in 1979, an infant brother, Frank, his father John, in 1945 and his mother Sophia, in 1975. Archie was born December 15, 1914 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Theresa and Archie were married in 1940 then lived and worked in Humboldt, Saskatoon and Port Alberni, retiring in Victoria. Archie was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his close family and many friends.

 Funeral service will be conducted from McCall Bros. Funeral Chapel, on Friday, November 30 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. Flowers are gratefully declined, tributes, if desired, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 2205 Richmond Ave., Victoria, B.C., V8R 4R5. Victoria Times, Nov. 27, 1991.

 

Theresa M. Gmeinwieser Adams

August 4, 1912 ~ July 1, 1979

In Victoria General Hospital on July 1, 1979, Mrs. Theresa Mary Adams, in her 67th year, of 3177 Harriet Road. She is survived by her husband, Archibald James Adams; four sisters, Rose and Julia of Summerland, B.C., Ann of Los Angeles, California, and Johanna of North Battleford, Saskatchewan; brother, George Miners of Victoria; nieces and nephews.

  Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 4 at 3:00 p.m., in St. Andrew’s Cathedral, 740 View St., with Fr. M. Costelloe, celebrant. Interment at Royal Oak Burial Park.  McCall Bros. Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Victoria Times, July 3, 1979.
