Mary Louella Pearn  (1886 ~ 1963)

 

4.4.3.2. Second child of Elizabeth J. Souch and Charles W. Pearn, Mary 'Louella' Pearn, was born November 8, 1886, in St. Mary’s, Blanchard Twp., Perth Co., Ontario.  

  She married William Marshall, daughter of Benjamin Marshall and Charlotte A. Slade, June 1, 1926, in New Westminster, British Columbia.

  M. Louella Pearn Marshall died September 12, 1963, aged 76 years in New Westminster, British Columbia and William Marshall died August 3, 1947, aged 62 years in Chilliwack, British Columbia.

Pearn—Marshall

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pearn, 226 Seventh Street, New Westminster, was the scene of a quiet wedding on Tuesday at noon, when their daughter, Miss Lulu Pearn, became the bride of Mr. William Marshall of Westwood, Cal. The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. A. Chester of Queen’s Avenue United Church. The bride, given away by her father, wore a gown of flat crepe of rosewood shade and a smart hat to match. Her shower bouquet was of Ophelia roses and ferns. The attendants were Miss Helen Lavall and Mr. Charles Gordon of Westwood, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall have left for Westwood, Cal., where they will reside. Vancouver Province, June 3, 1926.

M. Louella Pearn Marshall

November 8, 1886 ~ September 12, 1963

On September 12, 1963, Mary Louella Marshall, 327-8th St., New Westminster, aged 76 years. Survived by one brother, Dr. F. C. Pearn, Portland, Oregan. Funeral service Saturday, September 14, at 3 p.m. in the new Chapel of S. Bowell & Sons, 219-6th St. Rev. R. M. Goodall officiating. Cremation. No flowers by request. New Westminster Columbian, Sept. 13, 1963.

 

William Marshall

May 25, 1885 ~ August 3, 1947

William Marshall, Cultus Lake, passed away at Chilliwack hospital Sunday after a long illness. The late Mr. Marshall was born in London, Eng., 62 years ago, came to United States in 1914. He enlisted in World War I and served in the British army. In 1926 he married Lulu Pearn of New Westminster and they lived in Marysville, Calif., until 1928 when they moved to Vancouver.

  Three years ago, after he had disposed of his business interests in Vancouver, they came to Cultus Lake to make their home. 

  He is survived by his wife at Cultus Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Elger, Ilford, England; and Mrs. George Hoffman, Chehalis, Wash. There are also two nephews, Bill Hoffman and George Zindt, both of Chehalis.

  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. from Henderson’s funeral home, Rev. H. G. Funston officiating. Cremation will follow. Chilliwack Progress, Aug. 6, 1947.
