Walter Joseph Adams (1917 ~ 2000)

4.4.3.3. Third child of John Adams and Sophie Kurtenbach, Walter Joseph Adams, was born December 24, 1917, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

He married Charlotte MacMillan, daughter of John Murdoch MacMillan and Kenina McPhail, March 20, 1948*, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and had two children:

(4.4.3.3.2) Gordon Murdoch (1954 ~ )

Walter J. Adams died March 11, 2000, aged 82 years and Charlotte MacMillan Adams died June 1, 1996, aged 70 years in Calgary, Alberta and are interred at Queen’s Park Cemetery.

Adams—MacMillan

A quiet marriage was solemnized at Knox manse by the Rev. G. Duncan Wilkie when the former Charlotte MacMillan of Nipawin, became the bride of Walter J. Adams, son of Mrs. J. Adams and the late Mr. J. Adams of Humboldt.

The bride was lovely in a grey gabardine suit with black accessories and wore a corsage of red roses. Her bridesmaid, Miss Muriel Hall, chose a cocoa brown suit and wore a corsage of yellow roses. Mr. Earl Adams, brother of the groom, was best man.

Mr. and Mrs. Adams left by plane for Regina and points west. The happy couple will reside in Saskatoon. Saskatoon Star-Phoenix, Mar. 30, 1948.

Walter Joseph Adams passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2000, at the age of 82 years. A private service has been held. Charlotte MacMillan Adams

September 4, 1926 ~ June 1, 1996

Charlotte Adams passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on June 1, 1996. Interment will be private. Calgary Herald, June 4, 1996.

J. Douglas Adams

August 20, 1950 ~ August 27, 1999

Is is with deep sadness that we announce the death of John Douglas Adams, who passed away suddenly on August 27, 1999 at the age of 49 years. Doug, formerly a partner with the law firm of Parlee McLaws of Calgary, is survived by his beloved wife, Marie; his two daughters, Alexis and Katie, and stepdaughter, Danielle. He is is also survived by his father Walter J. Adams; his brother Gordon M. Adams and his wife Peggy. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 1708 16 Avenue N.W. on Friday, September 3, 1999 at 3 p.m. Calgary Herald, Sept. 1, 1999.
