4.4.5.2. Second child of George Adams and Christena I. McGillivary, Catherine Adams, was born November 28, 1917, in Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario.

She married Joseph Lloyd Fisher, son of Albert Edward Fisher and Ida May Ferguson, March 25, 1936, in Thornbury, Grey Co., Ontario and had two children:

(4.4.5.2.2) Robert Dalton (1947 ~ )

Catherine Adams Fisher died December 5, 2008, aged 91 years in Collingwood, Ontario and J. Lloyd Fisher died April 14, 1979, aged 69 years in Toronto, Ontario and are interred at First Presbyterian Cemetery.

A quiet wedding took place on Saturday, March 25, 1936, when Rev. Howie, of Thornbury, united in marriage Catherine, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Adams and Lloyd, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fisher, all of Collingwood. Collingwood Enterprise-Bulletin, Apr. 16, 1936.

Catherine Adams Fisher

Catherine Fisher passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital in her 92nd year. Catherine Adams, wife of the late Lloyd Fisher. Loving mother of Allan and his wife Jean and Dalton and his wife Sharon Fisher. Cherished grandmother of Eldon and his partner Bailey. Catherine is predeceased by her brother Robert and sister-in-law Jean Adams, survived by brother George and sister-in-law Isobel Adams. Visitation was held on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Homes - Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street. A funeral service was held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Spring Interment at First Presbyterian Cemetery. J. Lloyd Fisher

March 13, 1909 ~ April 14, 1979

Joseph Lloyd Fisher, who lived at 67 Third St., died at the Toronto General Hospital, April 14, 1979.

Born on the Sixth Line of Nottawasaga Township, he was the eldest son of Albert and Ida Fisher.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Adams, two sons Allan Fisher of Collingwood and Dalton Fisher of Meaford.

He is survived by one brother Horace Fisher of Toronto, and predeceased by sisters Vera and Dorothy.

He farmed on the 10th Line of Nottawasaga Township from 1932 till 1968 on Lot 41. He moved to Stayner for a short time, then to Meaford and Thornbury area, later moving to Collingwood.

He was an avid horseman and attended many fall fairs. He also attended many auction sales throughout the district. He also belonged to the Blue Mountain Ploughmen’s Association.

Funeral services were held at the Fawcett Funeral Home, Collingwood on Monday, April 16 with the Rev. Douglas Wilson.

Interment was at Presbyterian Cemetery, Collingwood.

Friends attended from St. Catharines, Toronto, Stayner, Meaford, Creemore and Owen Sound. Collingwood Enterprise-Bulletin, May 2, 1979.
