4.4.5.3. Second child of George Adams and Christina I. McGillivary, Robert Adams, was born November 20, 1919, in Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario.
He married Margaret Isabelle Leggatt, daughter of John Carlyle “Lyle” Leggatt and Mary Amelia “Nellie” McFadyen, January 31, 1959, in Collingwood, Simcoe Co., Ontario.
Robert Adams died November 10, 2003, aged 83 years, and M. Isabelle Leggatt Adams died October 5, 2010, aged 85 years in Collingwood, Ontario.

Robert Adams
Robert Adams passed away November 10, 2003 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in his 84th year. Robert Adams was born in Nottawasaga Township, the younger son of George Adams and Christena McGillivray, and attended local schools. He sailed the Great Lakes and deep sea for a total of 44 years, beginning with the Algoma Railway Company. Robert joined Canada Steamship Lines in 1945 as an officer; was first appointed Chief Engineer in 1952 on the S. S. Starmount. He ended his career on the M. V. English River, at which time he was the Commodore Chief Engineer of the C. S. L. Fleet. Robert, beloved husband of Isabelle, and dear brother of George and Catherine. Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service took place in the chapel on Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment First Presbyterian Cemetery. Isabelle Adams passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital in her 86th year. Isabelle was born and raised in Collingwood and worked with the Canadian Bank of Commerce for 25 years. She married her beloved husband the late Robert Adams in 1959. Isabelle loved working in her garden, travelling and playing golf. She is predeceased by her brother James Leggatt. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Fawcett Funeral Home - Collingwood Chapel. Interment at First Presbyterian Cemetery.
