----- MARRIAGE -----

Souch—Cole
Many young people gathered at the home of Miss Mary D. Souch, A.T.C.M., eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Souch, Hampton, on the eve of her marriage to heap upon her good wishes for future happiness as well as to express their regret at losing so valuable a member of this community. They expressed their high regard in gifts of silver dishes and valuable cutlery, together with a high appreciative address in which Miss Souch’s untiring interests in every good work were especially noted. Her ever-cheerful manner, her unassuming activities in Church, Sunday School and Young People’s League, will make her place very difficult to fill. Miss Souch’s Sunday School Class also called at her home and presented their teacher with a beautiful casserole, as an expression of their love and high appreciation. On Saturday morning, August 2, 1924, Miss Souch was quietly married at the Parsonage, Hampton, by Rev. W. W. Jones, B.D., to Mr. Albert J. Cole, Bowmanville. After a dainty wedding repast at the bride’s home, the happy couple left for a motor trip into Northern Victoria County for their honeymoon. The very best wishes of a host of friends go with them for a happy and useful life together. Bowmanville Statesman, Aug. 7, 1924.
