Margaret Adams  (1851 ~ 1945)

 

4.5. Fifth child of James Adams and Jane English, Margaret Adams, was born May 6, 1851, in Cartwright Twp., Durham Co., Ontario. 

 

  Margaret Adams died March 17, 1945, aged 93 years in Tiny Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario and is interred at Wyebridge Presbyterian Cemetery.

Margaret Adams

Margaret Adams died Saturday, March 17, 1945, at the home of her niece Mrs. Elwood Fagan, Lot 3, Tiny Township, after an illness of two weeks. She was in her 94th year.

  Born in Cartwright Township, she moved with her family to the farm in Tiny Township when she was still a young girl. About thirty years ago she left to go to live with her sister, Mrs. Isabella Montgomery, near Ebenezer. On her sister’s death about six months ago, she moved to the home of her niece where she died.

  The funeral was held Monday at 2 p.m. from the of her nephew, James Archer, 177 Hannah Street, Midland, Rev. Mr. Higginson from Victoria Harbour conducted the ceremony and temporary interment was in Lakeview Cemetery vault; she will be buried in the Wyebridge Presbyterian Cemetery.

  The pallbearers were six nephews: Fred Archer, Fred Montgomery, Alvin Archer, George Adams, Munroe Adams and Edwin DeNure.

   Attending the funeral from out of town were a number of nephews and nieces, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Archer, St. Catharines, three DeNure boys from Peterborough; Mrs. Watson, Washago; Mrs. Cassie, Hamilton; and a number of friends from Collingwood. Midland Free Press, Mar. 21, 1945.
