Ena Jane Montgomery (1897 ~ 1990)
4.7.7. Seventh child of Isabella Adams and Joseph Samuel Montgomery, Ena Jane Montgomery, was born February 4, 1897, in Tay Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario.
She married Mervin Roy Bruce Grigg, son of Robert James Grigg and Emma Ann Reynolds, June 30, 1926, in Victoria Harbour, Tay Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario.
Ena J. Montgomery Grigg died November 24, 1990, aged 93 years and Mervin R. Grigg died December 23, 1968, aged 67 years in Midland, Ontario and are interred at Lakeview Cemetery.

Ena Grigg, at the Villa Community Care Centre, Midland on Satruday, November 24, 1990. Ena Montgomery, beloved wife of the late Mervin Grigg in her 94th year. Sister of the late, Herb, Walter, Charles, Leila, Roy and Margaret, also survived by her many nieces and nephews. The late Mrs. Ena Grigg rested at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland for funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, November 27, 1990. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Midland. Mervin R. Grigg
May 23, 1901 ~ December 23, 1968
Former Midland and Tay Township council member Mervin Roy Grigg, died December 23, 1968, of a heart condition, in St. Andrew’s Hospital, in his 68th year.
Funeral service was held December 26 from Nicholls funeral home, Midland, with Rev. R. G. Gillingham officiating. Temporary entombment was made in Lakeview Chapel vault.
Pallbearers were Archer Colwill, Charles Parker, Percy Ehler, Ross Greer, W. Bowie and Henry McLellan.
Son of the late Robert Grigg and former Emma Reynolds, Mr. Grigg was born in Tiny Township, May 23, 1901 and attended Riverside school in Tay Township. He had resided in Tay until 1950, when he moved to Midland. He is survived by his wife, the former Ena Jane Montgomery, whom he married June 30, 1926, at Victoria Harbour.
A Midland resident for the past 18 years, Mr. Grigg was interested in public life and began his political career in Tay Township, where he had been a member of council before becoming deputy-reeve in 1951. In 1961, he was elected deputy-reeve of Midland and later served as alderman in 1966-67. He had been in the contracting business in former years and was elder of St. Paul’s United Church, Midland, for some years. He was a Liberal in his political views.
Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from Orillia, Stroud, Barrie, Stayner, and Toronto. Midland Free Press, Jan. 8, 1969.
