Douglas Grant Fagan (1922 ~ 2003)
4.7.8.1. First child of Margaret L. Montgomery and Elwood A. Fagan, Douglas Grant Fagan, was born April 15, 1922, in Tay Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario.
He married Marjorie Isabel Jones, daughter of Leslie Hilliard Jones and Alma Kathleen Stewart, on October 8, 1942, in Victoria Harbour, Tay Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario and had two children:

D. Grant Fagan died October 17, 2003, aged 81 years, in Midland, Ontario, and Marjorie I. Jones Fagan died July 3, 2011, aged 85 years in Penetanguishene, Ontario and are interred at Waverley United Cemetery.

Phyllis Noreen Jones and Marjory Isobel Jones, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Jones, R.R.1, Midland, were married on October 8, 1942, in a double wedding ceremony at the United Church parsonage in Victoria Harbour to William Robert Mosley and Douglas Grant Fagan. Mr. Mosley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mosley, R.R.1, Wyebridge, and Mr. Fagan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Fagan, R.R.1, Midland. Rev. C. Higginson performed the ceremony.
Miss Phyllis Jones wore a rose wool crepe dress with brown accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Her sister, Miss Marjory Jones, wore blue wool crepe with red roses. Each sister was the other’s attendant.
A buffet lunch for the immediate families was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jones, parents of the brides. The two couples went to Toronto for their honeymoon. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Mosley will reside at Wyebridge. Mr. and Mrs. Fagan will reside at Ebenezer. Midland Free Press, Oct. 21, 1942.

Douglas Grant Fagan passed away at the Huronia District Hospital on Friday, October 17, 2003 in his 82nd year. Grant Fagan, of Midland, beloved husband of Marjorie Jones. Loving father of Lorraine (David) Hook of Ebenezer, and Helen (Gary) Ellsmere of Bolton. Dear grandfather of Katherine (Tom) Carnicle, Tonya (Parry) Roberts and Jason Ellsmere, great grandfather of Jocelyn and Madison Carnicle. Brother of Velma Parker, Alberta Meech, Orma (Jim) Kerr, Leila Wallace, and Betty Ann (Ken) Bartholomew. Predeceased by his sister Isobel and brother Orvil. Grant will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the Lynn-Carson Funeral Home, 290 First Street, Midland, 526-6551 on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9. A funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, October 20, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Waverley United Cemetery. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital in Penetanguishene, Marjorie Isabel Fagan, in her 86th year.
Marjorie Fagan (nee Jones) of Midland, beloved wife of the late Douglas Grant Fagan; loving mother of Lorraine (David) Hook of Ebenezer, and Helen (Gary) Ellsmere of Bolton.
Dear grandmother of Katherine (Tom) Carnicle, Tonya Hook, and Jason (Connie) Ellsmere; great grandmother of Jocelyn, Madison, and Abigail Carnicle. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Theresa Jones, Velma Parker, Alberta Meech, Orma Kerr, Leila Wallace, and Betty-Ann Bartholomew and by many nieces, nephews family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Leslie and Kathleen Jones and sisters Audrey Parker and Phyllis Mosley, and brother Ross Jones.
A funeral service will be celebrated in Midland on Friday, July 8th.
