4.7.8.2. Second child of Margaret L. Montgomery and Elwood A. Fagan, Velma Mary Fagan, was born December 8, 1923, in Midland, Simcoe Co., Ontario.
She married Lloyd Hilliard Parker, son of William Irwin Parker and Hazel Edna Drennan, on June 24, 1943, in Victoria Harbour, Tay Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario and had two children:

Velma M. Fagan Parker currently resides in Midland, Ontario and Lloyd H. Parker died November 23, 1968, aged 47 years in Midland, Ontario and is interred at Lakeview Cemetery.

A quiet wedding was solemnized at the parsonage, Victoria Harbour, by Rev. C. G. Higginson, June 24, 1943, at 2 o’clock, when Miss Velma Mary Fagan, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Fagan, Ebenezer, became the bride of Lloyd Hilliard Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Parker, Old Fort.
The bride wore a street length dress of romance blue with beige accessories, accentuated by a lovely corsage of pink roses.
Her bridesmaid was her sister, Miss Isobel Fagan, wearing a dusty rose dress with blue accessories and a lovely corsage of yellow roses. Lawrence Parker of Vasey, brother of the groom, was best man.
A buffet luncheon was served the immediate families at the home of the bride’s parents, following the ceremony.
Immediately following the reception, the bride and groom left on a wedding trip to Toronto and points south. The bride chose for traveling a blue suit.

Velma M. Fagan Parker
Passed away unexpectedly at the Georgian Manor on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Parker. Dear mother of Mary Lynn Crowe (Ken) and the late Betty Lou Nicholson. Loving grandmother of Sean (Cheryl), Darren (Teresa) and Charlene Nicholson. Great-grandmother of Cody, Kyle, Derek, Brook and Jayden Nicholson. Great-great-grandmother of Sonya and Athena. Predeceased by her parents Elwood and Margaret Fagan. Dear sister of Orma Kerr (late Jim), Leila Wallace (Grant) and Betty Bartholomew (Ken). Predeceased by Grant (late Marjorie), Isobel, Orville, Margaret Meech (Phil) and Linda. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Thank you to Dr. Anne Gannon and staff at Georgian Manor, White Pine Unit for their loving care. A Celebration of Velma's Life will be held at a later date. Lloyd H. Parker
May 26, 1921 ~ November 23, 1968
A Tay Township resident all his life, Lloyd Hilliard Parker, died November 23, 1968, at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, after a short illness, in his 48th year.
Born May 26, 1921, at Con. 3, Tay, where he had always resided, he was the son of Mrs. Hazel E. Parker, Midland, and the late William Parker, formerly of R.R.1, Midland, and attended Old Fort School in Tay Township. He married the former Velma Mary Fagan at Victoria Harbour, June 24, 1943. He had spent some time farming and worked with Midland and Port McNicoll stevedores from 1940 until 1962, when he joined the staff of Kindred Industries Ltd., where he was employed until his death. A member of the United Church, he was interested in hockey as a sport.
Funeral service was held November 26 by Rev. R. G. Gillingham from the funeral home of A. Barrie and Sons, Midland. Interment took place in Lakeview Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were fellow workers from Kindred Industries Ltd., Gordon Green, Robert Forget, Francis Hocken, Bill Fielder, Leon Pilon, Joe Lawson, Bob Fielder and Larry Green.
Active pallbearers were Stanley Van Camp, Jack Sager, Kenneth Beatty, Murray Lattimore, Patrick Dutton and Bruce Dundas.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife and daughter Mary Lynn, at home and another daughter Betty (Mrs. Ross Nicholson), Midland. Also surviving are two brothers, Lawrence Parker and Jack Parker and a sister Edna (Mrs. Wray Faint), all of Midland.
Relatives and friends attending the funeral came from Toronto, London, Markham, Stroud, Barrie, Elmvale, Midland and surrounding area. Midland Free Press, Dec. 11, 1968.
