4.7.8.7. Seventh child of Margaret L. Montgomery and Elwood A. Fagan, Leila Fern Fagan, was born October 9, 1935, in Midland, Simcoe Co., Ontario.

She married Grant James Wallace, son of William Clarke Wallace and Kathleen Gould Dixon, October 9, 1954, in Stroud, Innisfil Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario and had four children:

Leila F. Fagan Wallace died November 29, 2019, aged 83 years, in Calgary, Alberta.

St. James United Church, Stroud, was the scene of a very pretty double wedding on Saturday, October 9, 1954, when two daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Fagan were married: Miss Alberta Fagan to Philip Meech of Toronto and Miss Leila Fagan to Grant Wallace, Toronto. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. J. F. G. Morris of Aurora and Rev. T. G. Wanless of Stroud. Prior to their weddings both girls were honored by several showers. Miss Betty Haliburton, Toronto, entertained at a miscellaneous shower for Miss Alberta Fagan, who was also honored by an office presentation from Cockfield Brown Ltd., Toronto. Miss Leila Fagan was honored with a miscellaneous shower by Mrs. A. Cahill at her home in Toronto and also received a miscellaneous shower of lovely gifts at the home of Miss Madelaine Gibbons, Stroud. Two two sisters were given a joint miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Elmer Gibbons, Stroud, with Mrs. Craig Hunter and Mrs. Gibbons as hostesses. After the church rehearsal on Friday night the bridal party were entertained at a buffet luncheon by Mr. and Mrs. John Stevenson at their home in Barrie. Mrs. William Wallace and Mrs. Elwood Fagan poured tea. This community extends congratulations and best wishes to these charming young couples. Barrie Examiner, Oct. 15, 1954.

Douglas E. Wallace

March 12, 1958 ~ September 21, 2014

Passed away peacefully on September 21, 2014 at the age of 56 following an unfortunate accident. Doug was the beloved son of Grant and Leila Wallace, devoted husband of 29 years to Sharon, very proud father of Megan and Colin, loving brother to Dave, Sandy and husband Dwayne Ouellet, Cathy and husband Mark Frank and loyal family member and friend to many. Doug did not suffer nor did he see those closest to him suffer during this unexpected time of loss. Sharon, Megan and Colin would like to announce that there will be a Celebration of Life for Doug in the near future that will commemorate a life well lived with laughter, memories, and stories - just as Doug would want!
