Thompson, 212 Beatrice Street, Toronto, when their second daughter Erma, became the wife of Mr. Arthur Allin Elford of Duluth, Minn. The bride was attended by her sisters Miss Maud and little Alfreda, and the groom by his brother Percy of Bowmanville. Rev. J. T. Morris officiated. Mendelssohn’s Wedding March was played by Miss Lillian Landell, and during the service “O Perfect Love” was sung by Mr. Fred Curtis.
The bride was becomingly attired in an ivory silk Princess gown over cream taffeta, the bodice was of Irish point lace, with tulle veil caught with lily of the valley, and carrying a shower bouquet of roses and of the lilies. Her travelling gown was of cream chiffon broadcloth, trimmed with heavy embroidered silk.
The bridesmaid was prettily gowned in pink embroidered Swiss muslin, and the maid of honor in white organdie.
Breakfast was served in the marquee on the lawn. The young couple will visit Chicago and the west before taking up their home life in Duluth. Mr. and Mrs. Elford were recipients of a large number of beautiful and useful gifts from friends in Canada, United States and England. THE STATESMAN joins heartily in wishing the young couple a very happy future. Bowmanville Statesman, June 13, 1906.
