William Percy Elford  (1878 ~ 1962)

 

4.8.5. Fifth child of John Elford and Anna M. Allin, William 'Percy' Elford, was born September 4, 1878, Providence, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.

 He married Mabel Margaret St. John, daughter of Robert St. John and Isabella Dunseith, December 31, 1917, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

  W. Percy Elford died March 27, 1962, aged 83 years, and Mabel M. St. John Elford died September 24, 1968, aged 84 years in Toronto, Ontario and are interred at Bowmanville Cemetery.

At the Wellesley Hospital, on Tuesday, March 27, 1962, W. Percy Elford, in his 84th year, beloved husband of Mabel St. John. Resting at the Ralph Day Funeral Home. 180 Danforth Ave. Service in the chapel Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery upon arrival of motors. Mabel M. St. John Elford

November 19, 1883 ~ September 24, 1968

At the Wellesley Hospital, on Tuesday, September 24, 1968, Mabel St. John Elford, wife of the late William Percy Elford, dear sister of W. R. St. John and Ila (Mrs. J. H. McCutcheon), and dear aunt of Muriel Alexander. Friends will be received at the Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Ave. (at Davisville Ave.) from Thursday noon. Service in the chapel on Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Toronto Star, Sept. 26, 1968.
