William Arthur Adams  (1892 ~ 1928)

 

5.12.1. First child of William R. Adams and Harriet Bullied, William Arthur Adams, was born January 4, 1892, in New Park, Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.

  He married Ethel Beatrice Latimer, daughter of David Alexander Latimer and Hannah Louise Rowswell, May 2, 1917, in Stettler, Alberta.

  W. Arthur Adams died September 18, 1928, aged 36 years, in High River, Alberta and Ethel B. Latimer Adams Bull died October 22, 1960, aged 65 years, in Stettler, Alberta.

William R. Adams

ADAMS—Passed away at High River, Alta., on September 18, 1928, William Arthur Adams, in his 36th year. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his sorrowing wife, his mother, Mrs. H. Adams; one sister, Mrs. F. Robinson; also one brother, R. Adams, all of Vancouver. Funeral service will take place Monday, September 24th, at 2 p.m. from Harron Bros. & Williamson's parlors, 55—10th Ave. E. Interment Mountain View Cemetery. Vancouver Sun, Sept. 22, 1928.

Ethel B. Latimer Adams Bull

March 18, 1895 ~ October 22, 1960

A long-time resident of the Erskine district, Mrs. Ethel Beatrice Bull, passed away at the Stettler Municipal Hospital on Saturday, October 22, 1960, following a lengthy illness. She was 65 years of age.

  Mrs. Bull was born in Edmonton, Alberta on March 18, 1895. She spent her early years in Edmonton and later moved with her family to the Kingston area of Ontario, and later to Vancouver in British Columbia. In 1917 she was married to Arthur Adams of Erskine where they lived until Mr. Adams' untimely death in 1928. About eight years later she was united in marriage with Mr. Henry Bull, who predeceased her on February 6, 1951.

  About the year 1928, Mrs. Bull became connected with the work of the Ewaing Church. Later, when the work of the Peoples Gospel Fellowship was begun, she became a charter member and gave herself unreservedly to the work of the Lord in her church and community as well as at the Gull Lake Bible Camp.

  She leaves to mourn her passing, two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Erickson of Fort St. John, B.C., and Mrs. Stella Erickson of Stettler; four brothers: Jack, Alex and Stuart Latimer of Streamstown and Giles Latimer of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven nieces, five nephews, eight great-nieces, 14 great-nephews and a host of friends.

  Funeral Services were held at the Peoples Gospel Fellowship Church at Erskine, on Tuesday, October 25th, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. F. Heffke, Rev. F. Schimke and Rev. G. Dennison officiating. Interment followed at the Erskine Cemetery.

  Pallbearers were Glenn Gaines, Clifford Gaines, Ross Young, Norman Boyce, Dave Rachar and Yates Foxall.

  Brennen Funeral Home of Stettler was in charge of arrangements. Stettler Independent, Nov. 2, 1960.
