Russell Roy Adams  (1897 ~ 1975)

 

5.12.3. Third child of William R. Adams and Harriet Bullied, Russell Roy Adams, was born November 30, 1897, in New Park, Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Ontario. 

  He married Martha Cunningham Moffat, daughter of Robert Cunningham Moffat and Ann Gardiner Penman, April 12, 1922, Vancouver, British Columbia and had three children:  

 

  • (5.12.3.1)  Doris Mae  (1924 - 2005)

  • (5.12.3.2)  Russell Robert  (1924 - 1989)

  • (5.12.3.3)  Kenneth William  (1926 - 2007)

 

  Russell R. Adams died April 11, 1975, aged 77 years in Vancouver, British Columbia and Martha C. Moffat Adams died July 7, 1981, aged 83 years in N. Vancouver, British Columbia and are interred at Mountain View Cemetery.

Russell R. Adams

On April 11, 1975, Russell Roy Adams, of 2059 E. 35th Ave., aged 77 years. Survived by his loving wife, Martha C.; 1 daughter, Mrs. Doris McCall, North Vancouver; 2 sons, Robert Adams, Nelson, B.C., Kenneth Adams, Vancouver; several grand-children and great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. Late member of the Teamsters’ Union, Local No. 31, Senior Citizens’ Club, Branch No. 31 and Lancashire Society. Funeral service, Monday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Chimes, Harron Bros., Ltd., on 10th Ave., 2 blocks West of Main St., Rev. J. C. G. Erb officiating.  Cremation. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be sent to Canadian Cancer Society, 1926 W. Broadway, Vancouver. Vancouver Sun, Apr. 12, 1975.

 

Martha C. Moffat Adams

February 2, 1898 ~ July 7, 1981

On July 7, 1981, Martha Cunningham Adams of 1433 Moody Ave., North Vancouver, B. C., aged 83 years. Survived by 2 sons, Bob, Nelson, B.C.; Ken, Vancouver; 1 daughter, Doris McCall, North Vancouver; daughter-in-law, Esther Adams, Vancouver; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Late member of Sons of Scotland. Funeral service Friday, July 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Chimes, Harron Brothers Ltd. on 10th Ave., 2 blocks west of Main St., Rev. G. H. Stephens officiating. Doris M. Adams McCall

October 8, 1924 ~ December 29, 2005

Doris Mae McCall passed away on December 29, 2005 at the age of 81 in North Vancouver. Predeceased by husband Joe and twin brother Bob Adams. Survived by sons Doug, and Ron (Allison); daughter Doreen: granddaughter Terri; brother Ken Adams and her extended family and friends. A special thank you is extended to Drs. A. E. MacDonald and Raymond C. Penner the staff on 1 South of Evergreen House at Lion’s Gate Hospital for their care and compassion. R. Robert Adams

October 8, 1924 ~ September 5, 1989

On Tuesday, September 5, 1989, Russell Robert (Bob) Adams of Nelson died Tuesday at the age of 64.

  Mr. Adams is survived by his sons Wayne and Ted; daughters, Pat, Judy, and Wendy; brother Ken and sister Doris. Funeral services for Mr. Adams were to be held today from Thompson Funeral Service with Rev. Ward Cowie officiating. Cremation to follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Service. Nelson Daily News, Sept. 8, 1989.

 

Kenneth W. Adams

February 26, 1926 ~ August 5, 2007

Kenneth William Adams passed away peacefully on August 5, 2007 at the age of 81 years old. Lovingly survived by children Karen (Don), Lon, Glenna, Kevin (Tracey) and April (John); nine grand children, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the staff and volunteers at George Derby Centre for their wonderful care and compassion. On April 7, 1938, Robert Cunningham Moffat, 1336 E. 17th Ave., in his 73rd year. Survived by his sorrowing widow, 2 sons; 2 daughters, 15 granchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral Saturday, April 9, at 3 p.m. from S. R. Bell Funeral Home.  Rev. H. J. Armitage officiating. Interment I.O.O.F. section of Mountain View Cemetery. Vancouver Sun, Apr. 8, 1938.

 

Ann Gardener Moffat

November 8, 1867 ~ June 26, 1938

At the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. Adams, 1336 E. 17th Ave., on June 26, 1938, Ann Gardener, widow of the late Robert C. Moffat, age 70 years. Leaving to mourn her passing, 2 daughters, Mrs. A. P. Hagen, Anacortes, Wash., Mrs. R. Adams, Vancouver; 2 sons, Robert and John, Vancouver; 2 sisters, Mrs. J. English, Nanaimo, Mrs. A. Forsyth, Scotland; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday, June 28 at 1:30 p.m., from the S. R. Bell Funeral Home, the Rev. H. J. Armitage officiating. Interment, I.O.O.F. Plot, Mountain View Cemetery. Vancouver Sun, June 27, 1938.
