5.2. Second child of Robert Adams and Jane Patterson, Mary Adams, was born September 26, 1845, in Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.
She married Charles Lilley, son of Joseph Lilley and Elizabeth, on October 26, 1867, in Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Ontario and had nine children:

Mary Adams Lilley
In Sarnia, on Wednesday, March 24, 1909, Mary Lilley, beloved wife of the late Charles Lilley, aged 63 years.
The funeral will leave her late residence, 346 Nelson Street, on Monday, March 29, 1909, at 3 o’clock p.m. Service at the house at 2:30 p.m. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Sarnia Observer, Mar. 26, 1909.

May 26, 1821 ~ February 26, 1895
Mr. Charles Lilley, who was seized with paralysis while on duty at the Front street crossing of the C.N.R. near the gas works a little over a week ago, died on Tuesday, February 26, 1895. He had been in the employ of the Grand Trunk for a great many years, and was an obliging and faithful official. He was at one time in the British Navy and took part in one of the many Artic relief expeditions, his adventures in connection therewith being a fruitful theme of conversation when called upon to relate them.
