5.3.10. Tenth child of Thomas Adams and Maria Bullied, Ernest Milton (Tim) Adams, was born March 11, 1893, in New Park, Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.
He married Annie Gertrude Goodman, daughter of Albert Alexander Goodman and Lottie May Wotten, March 31, 1915, in Bowmanville, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario and had seven children:

Ernest M. Adams died June 11, 1969, aged 76 years and A. Gertrude Goodman Adams died June 10, 1967, aged 69 years in Bowmanville, Ontario and are interred at Hampton Union Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest M. Adams
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Adams, 128 Elgin Street, Town, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday evening, April 3rd, with a family dinner and reception in Darlington Township Hall, Hampton.
Fifty years ago on March 31, 1915, Mr. and Mrs. Adams were married by the Rev. H. B. Kenny in the Methodist Church, Bowmanville, now Trinity United Church.
Their five daughters and one son were all present on this happy occasion and included Mr. and Mrs. A. Adams, Bowmanville; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Cochrane, Nestleton; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Cochrane, Raglan; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Oke, Oshawa; Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Breck, Kingston; and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter of Windsor. They have 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Also attending were Mr. Adams' sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bullied of Stroud who celebrated their 50th anniversary in June, 1964.
Many lovely cards, gifts, plants and bouquets were received by the anniversary couple including a beautiful all-gold bouquet of chrysanthemums, carnations and snapdragons from the Town of Bowmanville.

Ernest M. Adams
The death of Mr. Ernest Adams occurred on Wednesday, June 11, 1969, at Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, following a lengthy illness. He was in his 77th year.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Adams, the deceased was born at New Park, Ontario. A resident of Bowmanville for six and a half years, he had previously lived at Burketon. Prior to his retirement 15 years ago he was a section foreman for the Canadian Pacific Railway for 35 years.
Predeceased by his wife the former Gertrude Goodman, in 1967 he is survived by five daughters, Mr. I. Cochrane (May) of Nestleton, Mrs. E. Cochrane, (Eva) of Oshawa, Mrs. R. Oke, (Mildred) Oshawa, Mrs. W. Breck (Viola) Kingston and Mrs. Robert Carter (Mary) Windsor and a son Albert Adams of Bowmanville.
The funeral service was held at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville, June 14, followed by interment in Hampton Cemetery, Rev. H. A. Turner, pastor of St. Paul’s United Church, Bowmanville conducted the service. Interment was in Hampton Cemetery.
The pallbearers, all grandsons of the deceased were Messrs. Donald Cochrane, Delbert Oke, George and Bruce Cochrane, Alan Breck and Wayne Carter.
Flower bearers were Messrs. Dennis Cochrane, William Oke, Pete Catherwood, Ray Abraham, Robert Lindsay and Neil Oke. Bowmanville Statesman, June 25, 1969.
A. Gertrude Goodman Adams
August 14, 1897 ~ June 10, 1967
The death of Mrs. Ernest Adams occurred on Saturday, June 10, 1967, at Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, following a brief illness. She was in her 70th year.
Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Goodman, the former Annie Gertrude Goodman was born in East Whitby Township and attended school at Burketon. On March 31, 1915 she married Ernest Adams, who survives.
Mr. and Mrs. Adams have resided in Bowmanville for four years, moving here from Burketon. A housewife, her interests centred around her home and family. She was a member of Burketon United Church and the United Church Women. The deceased was a member of Burketon United Church choir for 15 years.
Surviving, besides her husband, are five daughters and one son, Mrs. I. Cochrane (May), Mrs. E. Cochrane (Eva), Mrs. R. Oke, (Mildred), Mrs. Wallace Breck (Viola), Mrs. Robert Carter (Mary), and Albert Adams.
The funeral services was held from the Northcutt & Smith Funeral Home, Bowmanville, on Monday, June 12, and was conducted by the Rev. H. A. Turner of St. Paul’s United Church, Bowmanville. Interment Hampton Cemetery.
