Hazel Viola Adams (1922 ~ 2009)
5.3.10.4. Fourth child of Tim Adams and Gertrude Goodman, Hazel Viola Adams, was born October 19, 1922, in Burketon, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.
She married Wallace Graham Breck, son of Thomas Graham Breck and Margaret Beryl McKechnie, March 9, 1946, in Enniskillen, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario and had two children:

H. Viola Adams Breck died February 13, 2009, aged 86 years and Wallace G. Breck died February 8, 2001, aged 84 years in Kingston, Ontario.

A very pretty wedding took place in the parsonage at Enniskillen with Rev. James Plant officiating Saturday, March 9, 1946, when Hazel Viola, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Adams, Burketon, became the bride of Wallace Graham Breck, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Breck, Kingston.
The bride looked lovely in a street length dress of soft blue crepe and a corsage of dark pink carnations.
Miss Mary Adams, sister of the bride was matron of honor and she chose a street length dress of soft pink crepe and a corsage of cream carnations edged with pink.
William Breck, brother of the groom was best man.
The groom’s gift to the bride was a strand of pearls and to the matron of honor a silver bracelet.
A wedding supper was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride’s mother wearing a flowered jersey dress and a corsage of yellow ‘mums. The groom’s mother wore a lime green silk dress and also a corsage of yellow ‘mums.
The bridal couple left mid showers of confetti by train for Toronto and points west. Bowmanville Statesman, Mar. 15, 1946.

Hazel Viola Breck (nee Adams) passed away at Kingston General Hospital on Friday, February 13, 2009. Viola was 86 years old. Beloved wife of Wallace Graham Breck (deceased). Dear mother of Alan Breck of Kingston and Jean Christie of Prescott. Remembered by grandchildren Colin Breck, Lisa Purvis, Laura Breck, Karen Christie, Megan Finucan, and great grandchildren Riley Finucan and Katie Balloch. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton. A donation in Vi’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Kingston, 175 Rideau Street, Kingston ON K7K 3H6, or St. Margaret’s United Church, 690 Sir John A. Wallace Graham Breck passed away at Kingston General Hospital on Thusday, February 8, 2001. Doctor Wallace Graham Breck at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Viola (nee Adams). Dear father of Alan Breck of Kingston and Jean Christie of Prescott. Brother of A. William Breck of Peterborough and the deceased Ewart Breck. Remembered by grandchildren Karen Christie, Megan Finucan and their father Robert Christie; Colin, Elisabeth and Laura Breck and their mother Heather. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (130 Clergy Street E.) on Saturday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the church hall.
