5.3.1.1. First child of Joseph H. Adams and A. Mabel Martin, Milton Earl Adams, was born August 23, 1906, in Burketon, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.
He married Emma Leona Bradley, daughter of Herbert Earl Bradley and Ethel Lena Wilson, November 16, 1932, in Hampton, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario and had five children:

M. Earl Adams died October 2, 1976, aged 70 years in Toronto, Ontario and E. Leona Bradley Adams died December 11, 1999, aged 87 years in Oshawa, Ontario and are interred at Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby, Ontario.

M. Earl “Dave” Adams
Earl (Dave) Adams, of 468 Montrave Ave., Oshawa, died suddenly at Toronto General Hospital on October 2, 1976. He was in his 70th year.
Mr. Adams was a former employee of General Motors in the plant protection department who retired in 1970 with 28 years’ experience. He was an adherent of Albert Street United Church and had lived in Oshawa for the past 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; three daughters, Mrs. George Barker, Mrs. Frank Locke (Grace) and Mrs. Linda Parker, all of Oshawa; two sons, Al of Ajax and Eddy of Oshawa; a sister, Mrs. David Bothwell (Bernice) of Bowmanville; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral was held at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Oshawa, on Monday, with interment in Mount Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Melville Buttars officiated.

The family of Emma Leona Adams wish to announce with sadness that she has gone to her room for the last time [December 11, 1999]. Wife of the late Milton Earl (Dave) Adams, she is survived by her son, Allan Adams and his wife Carol of Whitby, and her two daughters, Betty and her husband George Barker and Linda Hamilton and son-in-law Franke Locke, all of Oshawa. Predeceased by her daughter Grace Locke and her son Edward. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Long time member of Albert Street United Church and presently a member of Cedardale United Church. Friends will be received at Oshawa Funeral Service (Thornton Chapel), 847 King St. W., (721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday, December 15 at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to Cedardale United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
