He married Selina Jane Scott, daughter of Richard Thomas Scott and Clara Jane Packard, December 17, 1942*, in Pontypool, Manvers Twp., Durham Co., Ontario and had two children:

Elmer W. Adams died December 2, 1988, aged 66 years in Milton, Ontario and is interred at Hampton Union Cemetery and Selina J. Scott Adams died August 18, 2008, aged 87 years in Haliburton, Ontario and is interred at Maple Lake United Cemetery.

Suddenly at his home in Milton on Friday, December 2, 1988, Elmer Wesley Adams, aged 66 years. Husband of Selina Scott. Father of Thomas and Robert. Brother of Laverne (Toots) Barraball, Gordon, Milton, Kenneth, Fay and Yvonne (Bonnie) George. Rested at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home where service was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Interment Hampton Cemetery. Bowmanville Statesman, Dec. 7, 1988.

Selina Jane Adams (nee Scott) passed away peacefully at the Haliburton Hospital on Monday, August 18, 2008, in her 88th year. Beloved mother of Tom and his wife Carol, Bob and his wife Shirley all of West Guilford. Loving grandmother of Barb and her husband Craig Wood of Raeboro and great grandmother of Kristen and Adam. Dear sister of Archie (Vi) Scott, Ev Stata, and predeceased by her brothers John Scott and Ben Scott. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Main St., Minden on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Maple Lake United Church Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Maple Lake Church (downstairs).
