Emma Laverne Adams  (1923 ~ 2013)

 

5.3.13.2. Second child of I. Oscar Adams and Alice A. Gordon, Emma Laverne “Toots” Adams, was born December 25, 1923, in Bowmanville, Durham Co., Ontario. 

  She married Sidney Thomas Barraball, son of Theophilus Pascoe “Luther” Barraball and Corina May Tucker, March 22, 1941, in Courtice, Ontario and had six children:

  E. Laverne “Toots” Adams Barraball died January 6, 2013, aged 89 years and Sidney T. Barraball died August 19, 2007, aged 90 years in Peterborough, Ontario and are interred at Orono Cemetery.

Passed away at Peterborough Regional Heath Centre on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the age of 89 years.

  Toots, beloved wife of the late Sid Barraball.

  Loving mother of Doug (Carol), Shiela McHugh (the late Don), Bob (Joan), Lynda McCullough (Peter) and Nancy Malach (the late Lenny). Dear grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Loved sister of Ken Adams (Eileen), Fay (Glory), Bonnie George (the late Neil) and the late Elmer (the late Selina), Gwendolyn, Gordon (the late Ethel), and Milton “Mick” (survived by Marion).

  Friends may pay their respects at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

  Funeral service complete in the Morris Chapel on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11 a.m.

  Spring interment Orono Cemetery.

At St Joseph’s at Fleming, Peterborough on Sunday, August 19, 2007 in his 91st year. Sid Barraball, beloved husband of Laverne “Toots” (Adams). Loving father of Doug (Carol), Sheila McHugh (the late Don), Bob (Joan), Lynda McCullough (Peter) and Nancy Malach (Lenny). Dear grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Loved brother of Robert (Margaret), Evelyn McBain (Scotty) and the late Roy, Marion, Bill, Margaret, Gordon and Wally. Friends may pay their respects at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Tuesday, August 21, 2007  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the Morris Chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment Orono Cemetery.
