5.3.13.5. Fifth child of I. Oscar Adams and Alice A. Gordon, Clarence Milton “Mick” Adams, was born October 16, 1929, in Burketon, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.

He married Marion Joan Hackwood, daughter of William Hackwood and Elizabeth Viola Chambers, April 14, 1951, in Janetville, Manvers Twp., Durham Co., Ontario and had five children:

C. Milton Adams died July 18, 1996, aged 66 years, in Oshawa, Ontario and Marion J. Hackwood Adams died April 19, 2024, aged 92 years, in Port Perry and are interred at Orono Cemetery.

Pontypool. Our congratulations go to Mr. Mickey Adams and Miss Marion Hackwood who were married on Saturday, April 14, 1951. These newlyweds are very popular in this community. Marion had a host of friends here and had been clerking in her father’s store. Mickey has been employed with James Tamblyn, Orono, in the dairy business. At Oshawa General Hospital on Thursday, July 18, 1996, Milton “Mickey” Adams, beloved husband of Marion Adams (nee Hackwood). Dear father of Caroline and Norman Sherwin of Cobourg, Marlene and Fern Vincent of Ajax, Debra and Norm Nixon of Bowmanville, Julie and Art Reeve of Oshawa and Michael of Orono. Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dear brother of Gordon, Ken, Fay, Laverne (Toots) Barraball, Bonnie George and the late Elmer. Visitation was held at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel. Interment Orono Cemetery. Passed away peacefully at Oak Ridges Hospice on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Beloved wife to the late Milton (Mickey) Adams. Dear mother of Caroline (Norman Sherwin); Marlene (Late Fern) Vincent; Debbie (Late Norman) Nixon; Julie (Art Reeve) and Michael. Lovingly Remembered by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday April 25th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Donations can be made to Oak Ridges Hospice or Orono Rebekah Lodge. Interment Orono Cemetery.

Norman J. Nixon

At Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, Norman J. Nixon, on Thursday, April 3, 1997 in his 52nd year. Norm, beloved husband of Debbie (Adams); loving father of Allan and Fraser; loved son of Henry and Helen Nixon; dear brother of Earl and his wife Noreen and lovingly remembered by his niece Adel, all of Orono. Friends called at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division St., Bowmanville on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held in our chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment Orono Cemetery. Suddenly at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Saturday, April 24, 2010, Blake Evan Harris at one month of age.

Cherished son of Amber Sherwin and Lane Harris. Beloved grandson of Norm and Caroline Sherwin, Vic Harris, Barbara Chilcott, and great-grandson of Marion Adams and the late Milton, Gwen Chilcott and the late Walter, the late Harold and Elizabeth Sherwin, and the late Victor and Phyllis Harris. Dear nephew of Michelle Cowin (Gary), Conner Harris, Erin Harris, Courtney Harris, Lyndsay Harris, and great nephew of several great aunts and uncles. Also missed by his cousins and many family friends.

A vistation will be held at MacCoubrey funeral home in Cobourg on Friday, April 30th at 1 p.m., with a funeral service to be held at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
