----- MARRIAGE -----
Adams—Elford
A quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. John P. Elford, Blackstock, on Wednesday, November 9, 1921, when their third daughter, Margaret Susan, became the bride of Mr. Zachariah David Adams, Enniskillen, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Adams of Leskard. The bride entered the sitting room on the arm of her father, to the strains of the wedding march played by Mrs. R. G. Carruthers. The bride looked lovely, becomingly gowned in white chiffon taffeta and georgette with French knots in blue and wore the groom’s gift a gold wrist watch. The ceremony was performed by Rev. R. G. Carruthers, B.A., Blackstock. During the signing of the register many violin selections were rendered by Mr. William Elford of Warminster, brother of the bride, and solos by Mrs. W. M. Elford. A dainty wedding supper was served to about 40 guests. The presents were numerous, useful and costly. The bride wore a traveling suit of navy serge with red hat and fox furs. They will reside at Haydon. Their many friends wish them a long and happy life. Bowmanville Statesman, Nov. 24, 1921.
