Berwin Elford Adams  (1925 ~ 2000)

 

5.3.14.3. Third child of Zachariah D. Adams and Margaret S. Elford, Berwin Elford Adams, was born November 8, 1925, in Burketon, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario. 

  He married Ida Maud Ferguson, daughter of Robert Henry Ferguson and Maud Louisa Morrow Greer, April 1, 1944, in Oshawa, Ontario and had four children:

  • (5.3.14.3.2)  Beverly Ann  (1939 ~ 1987)

  • (5.3.14.3.3)  Marilyn Dianne  (1942 ~ )

  • (5.3.14.3.4)  Berwin Wayne  (1948 ~ )

 

  Berwin E. Adams died January 21, 2000, aged 74 years and Ida M. Ferguson Adams died October 13, 2012, aged 94 years in Oshawa, Ontario and are interred at Thornton Cemetery.

Berwin Elford Adams after a lengthy illness, at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Friday, January 21, 2000, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Ida Ferguson for 56 years. Dear father of Wayne and Linda Adams of Pickering, Marilyn and Ken Stafford of Port Perry and Joan and Jim Fernandes of Oshawa.

  Predeceased by his daughter Bev Heath. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Susan Robins, Nancy Cullen, David Heath, Tracy Lenartowitz, Sam Jackson, Katie Adams and Stephen Adams. Cherished great grampa to Blair and Lucas Cullen, Sammy and Bradley Jackson, Mitchell Robins and Lee-Ann Lenartowicz. 

  Dear brother of Ross Adams of Oshawa, Marguerite Beacock of Port Perry, Murray, Wayburn, Sam, Bryce and Blaine Adams all of Bowmanville. Ida M. Ferguson Hendershot Adams

March 5, 1918 ~ October 13, 2012

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, October 13, 2012, Ida Maud (Ferguson) Adams in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Berwin Adams (2000). Loving mother of Joan Fernandes (Jim), Marilyn Stafford (Ken, predeceased) Wayne Adams (Linda) and predeceased by her daughter Bev, and by her sister Irene McKee. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Susan Robins (Dave), Nancy Cullen (Glenn), Sam Jackson (Tracey), Tracy Lenartowicz, David Heath, Katie Turkington (Mark), Stephen Adams (Julie) and by her great-grandchildren Blair and Lucas Cullen, Sammy and Bradley Jackson, Lee-Ann Lenartowicz, Mitchell Robins, Benjamin and Cailey Adams and Stella Turkington. A private family service was held at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, October 16th at 2:00 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. Beloved daughter of Berwin and Ida Adams of Oshawa. Dear sister of Mrs. Jim Fernandes (Joan) of Thornhill, Mrs. Marilyn Jackson of Oshawa and Wayne Adams of Pickering.
