Francis Murray Adams (1927 ~ 2018)
5.3.14.4. Fourth child of Zachariah D. Adams and Margaret S. Elford, Francis Murray Adams, was born July 10, 1927, in Burketon, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.
He married Ada Mary Ellen Quinney, daughter of Cyril Wesley Quinney and Alice May Gwilliam, June 28, 1947, in Bowmanville, Ontario and had three children:

F. Murray Adams died October 18, 2018, aged 91 years, and Ada M. Quinney Adams died March 18, 2020, aged 94 years, in Bowmanville, Ontario and are interred at Hampton Union Cemetery.

F. Murray Adams
Murray passed away peacefully at Glen Hill Strathaven on Thursday, October 18, 2018. He was born July 10, 1927 in Burketon, Ontario. The 4th of 9 children of Zachariah and Margaret Adams. He was the beloved husband of Ada (nee Quinney) for 71 years. He will be fondly remembered by his children Valerie Rudman (Dennis), Greg (Joan) and Brad (Lorie). He was blessed with and dearly loved his 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Bryce and Blaine and predeceased by Ross, Marguerite, Berwin, Wayburn, Sam and Gary. Murray was a steelworker and retired from Bowmanville Foundry in 1990. He loved to tinker especially with his 1931 Chev. He could fix anything or create something to make it work. The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the 3rd floor staff at Glen Hill. A visitation and reception to share stories and memories of Murray will be held at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Wednesday, October 24th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. A private family burial at Hampton Cemetery is to follow. Ada M. Quinney Adams
May 7, 1925 ~ March 18, 2020
Ada Mary Ellen (nee Quinney) Adams - passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. She was born May 7, 1925, the 2nd of 7 children of Cyril and Alice Quinney. She was predeceased by Murray, her beloved husband of 71 years. Loving mother of Valerie Rudman (Dennis), Greg (Joan) and Brad (Lorie). She cherished and dearly loved her 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister June Sellers and predeceased by her brothers Howard, Fred and Cyril and sisters Bernice Partner and Margaret Evans. Ada was a homemaker who through the years enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and loved tending her gardens. The family is thankful to C.C.A.C., Durham Community Care and our private caregiver for their wonderful support. The daily care and kindness of these dedicated P.S.W.’s helped mom remain in her own home. Thank-you to Dr. Osborne for his ongoing care and embracing mom’s sense of humor. We are grateful to the C.C.C. unit, palliative care staff, for the care and compassion shown mom and our family during her final days. Cremation.
